A Modest Stocking Stuffer

It’s not every year that the Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings fall on Christmas Eve! While the parties were commencing and little kids found it hard to sleep, things went on as scheduled in the lottery world. Thankfully, we weren’t left with a lump of coal.

Lotto Texas

The {3-2-1} Pattern decided to take a break and let the {4-2} Pattern play instead. The winning numbers were 5, 8, 13, 15, 39, and 42.

Now with 155 appearances, this Pattern has played in 11.0% of the 1406 Lotto Texas drawings. Also of note is how the {4-2} Pattern is now tied with the {4-1-1-1} Pattern. We last saw the {4-2} Pattern play a while back in the December 14, 2016 drawing.

The 4 0 2 Specific Order made its 22nd appearance, its first since the August 20, 2016 drawing. This Specific Order has now played in 14.2% of the 155 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.56% of all drawings.

Powerball

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 43rd appearance, thanks to winning numbers 28, 38, 42, 51, 52, and PB 21.

This Pattern has now played in 33.6% of the 128 Powerball drawings to date. While it appears that the {2-2-1-1} is playing catch-up (again) to the {2-1-1-1-1}, it’s premature to assume that it will catch up in the next drawing. Like with the Lotto Texas Pattern we just discussed, Powerball’s {2-2-1-1} Pattern previously played in the December 14, 2016 drawing.

Next, the [1-2-2-1] General Order made its 15th appearance, the first since the September 24, 2016 drawing. This General Order has now played in 34.9% of the 43 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 11.7% of all drawings.

Our Christmas coverage concludes with 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order, now having appeared three times. This Specific Order has now played in 20% of the 15 drawings where the [1-2-2-1] General Order appeared, 6.98% of the 43 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern appeared, and in 2.34% of all drawings. The 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the August 6, 2016 drawing.

With Christmas come and gone, we start to say goodbye to 2016 and look ahead to the future. Will Lotto Texas and Powerball go out with a bang, or will they end the year with a murmur?

A Night of Polar Opposites

The December 14, 2016 Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings couldn’t be any more different. Lotto Texas saw a Pattern that has played a respectable amount of times. Meanwhile, Powerball saw a Pattern that plays quite often, and has been known to go back-and-forth with another Pattern in terms of the most number of times played.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s Lotto Texas drawing gave us the {4-2} Pattern, brought about by winning numbers 29, 35, 38, 39, 49, and 53.

Winning Lotto Texas numbers. From lotterytrend.com.
Winning Lotto Texas numbers. From lotterytrend.com.

Now with 154 appearances, the {4-2} Pattern has now played in approximately 11% of the 1403 Lotto Texas drawings. Prior to Wednesday, we last saw this Pattern a couple of months ago; October 8th, to be precise.

Our Lotto Texas coverage concludes with the 28th appearance of the 0 2 4 Specific Order. This Specific Order has now played in 18.2% of the 154 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern was the winning Pattern and in 2% of all Lotto Texas drawings. The 0 2 4 Specific Order previously played in the May 25, 2016 drawing.

Powerball

Once again, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has tied with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern when it comes to the number of times played. The 42nd appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern is thanks to winning numbers 18, 26, 37, 39, 66, and PB 15.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played in 33.6% of the 125 Powerball drawings. We last saw this Pattern about a couple of weeks ago in the December 3, 2016 drawing.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 16th appearance, and it too was last seen in the December 3rd drawing. This General Order has now appeared in 38.1% of the 42 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.28% of all Powerball drawings.

Finally, we come to the 0 2 2 0 1 1 Specific Order, which has now played three times. As of Wednesday’s drawing, this Specific Order has played in 18.75% of the 16 drawings where [2-2-1-1] was the General Order of the evening, 7.14% of the 42 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played, and 1.28% of all drawings. To see when the 0 2 2 0 1 1 Specific Order previously played, we need to go back to the June 11, 2016 drawing.

With the last (sane) weekend of Christmas shopping coming up, what gifts will Lotto Texas and Powerball leave for us on Saturday?

September in Passing

Lotto Texas and Powerball paid their respects to September as we enter the second (full) week of October. Both lotteries saw Patterns, not to mention their respective Specific Order and General Order, play last month. The October 8th drawings also gave us a surprise or two, not to mention a reprieve.

Lotto Texas

Saturday’s drawing saw the {4-2} Pattern, making its first appearance since the September 17th drawing. The winning numbers were 7, 15, 44, 52, 53, and 54.

With 153 appearances, and 1384 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {4-2} Pattern has now played 11.1% of the time.

The 2 0 4 Specific Order made its 19th appearance, the first since the September 14th drawing. Out of the 153 drawings that have {4-2} as the winning Pattern, the 2 0 4 Specific Order has played 12.4% of the time. When we look at all 1384 drawings, this becomes 1.37%.

We also saw not one, but two Four-Number Combinations make an encore appearance:

  • 15, 52, 53, and 54, which first played May 30th, 2012, and
  • 7, 44, 53, and 54 which first played November 21st, 2015.

Powerball

The Pattern Tango between {2-1-1-1-1} and {2-2-1-1} did not take place last night. Instead, we got to see another Pattern get a chance to play. That lucky Pattern was {3-1-1-1}. The winning numbers were thanks to 3, 54, 61, 64, 68, and PB 9.

Saturday’s drawing marked the 15th appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, its first since September 21st. Out of the 106 Powerball drawings, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has now played 14.2% of the time.

The [1-1-3-1] General Order made its 6th appearance, and it too previously played in the September 21st drawing. Percentage wise, it comes in at 40% of the 15 drawings where {3-1-1-1} is the winning Pattern, and 5.66% of all drawings.

The 1 0 0 3 1 1 Specific Order made its world debut. With that said, the 1 0 0 3 1 1 Specific Order has occurred in 16.67% of the 6 drawings that have [1-1-3-1] as the General Order of the evening. When looking at the 15 drawings that have {3-1-1-1} as the winning Pattern, this becomes 6.667%, and 0.94% when looking at all 106 drawings.

We saw the Three-Number Combination 3, 61, and 64 make an encore appearance last night. The first time we saw it was earlier this year in the January 16th drawing.

As we look ahead to next week, will we continue to see Patterns that don’t get much airtime, or will the Pattern Tango resume? Will we see debuts of new Specific Orders?

Saturday Night Milestones

The September 17th Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings were truly something. On the Lotto Texas front, the {4-2} Pattern made a three-peat appearance. Powerball had its 100th drawing, and by 100th, we mean “The 100th drawing using number balls 1 through 69 and Powerballs 1 through 26.” What better way to mark the 100th drawing than for someone to win the jackpot?

Lotto Texas

The {4-2} three-peat was provided by the winning numbers 24, 32, 33, 34, 48, and 51.

Now having played 152 times, and with 1378 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {4-2} Pattern has played 11.0% of the time. This Pattern previously played in Wednesday’s drawing  as well as the September 10th drawing.

The 0 4 2 Specific Order made its 30th appearance, and out of the 152 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern, this Specific Order has played 19.7% of the time. When we look at all 1378 drawings, this becomes 2.18%. Unlike the {4-2} Pattern, the 0 4 2 Specific Order was last seen at the beginning of the year: January 16th, 2016.

The last Lotto Texas highlight of the evening was the Four-Number Combination of 24, 32, 33, and 48, which made its first appearance October 13th, 2012.

Powerball

Even though Powerball had its 100th drawing, and somebody won, it appears that the {2-2-1-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns are locked in a dance. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played for the 37th time, thanks to numbers 9, 19, 51, 55, 62, and PB 14.

Winning Powerball numbers. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has now played 37% of the time, and remains the most commonly played Pattern. This Pattern was last seen in the September 10th drawing.

Like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-2-1-1] Pattern was last seen in the September 10th drawing. Making its eighth appearance, it has appeared in 21.6% of the 37 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played. Taking all 100 drawings into account, this shrinks to 8% of the time.

September 10th appears to be a popular date, for the 1 1 0 2 1 1 Specific Order also made its last appearance on that night! Now having played three times, it has appeared in 37.5% of the 8 drawings where the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order has played. This becomes 8.11% of the 37 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played, and 3% when taking all 100 drawings into account.

With the last summer (or winter) Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings coming up this Wednesday, will the {4-2} Pattern be daring enough to go for a four-peat? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} and the {2-2-1-1} Patterns be locked in their dance, alternating between who gets to play?

Four Prevails

What is generally associated with “four”, besides the number? There’s the four seasons (Vivaldi or hotel?), four directions, four-square, just to name a few things. September 14, 2016 saw quite a bit of “four” in both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Even with “four” making its grand stand, there appears to be yet another power struggle in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

The {4-2} Pattern, a Pattern we don’t see that often, made its 151st appearance. Wednesday’s numbers were 6, 15, 37, 38, 51, and 54.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.
Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.

Out of the 1377 Lotto Texas drawings, the {4-2} Pattern has now played 11% of the time.

The 2 0 4 Specific Order made its 18th appearance, and out of the 151 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern, it’s played 11.9% of the time. When looking at all 1377 drawings, this becomes 1.31%. This Specific Order was last seen on May 21, 2016, which in fact was the weekend before our blog launched.

We saw two Four-Number Combinations each play for the second time. While we didn’t see anything from the previous decade, there was a pretty sizable gap! The Four-Number Combinations were:

  • 6, 37, 38, and 51, which first played July 28, 2010 (For those people who believe the millennium started in 2001, they could say that 2010 was last decade…) and
  • 6, 15, 37, and 54, which first played November 14, 2015.

Powerball

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern just doesn’t know when to quit. With winning numbers 10, 11, 23, 28, 31, and PB 14, this Pattern has now made 35 appearances.

Winning Powerball numbers from lotterytrend-powerball.com.
Winning Powerball numbers from lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 99 Powerball drawings, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played 35.4% of the time. Once again, it looks like it’s challenging the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which has played 36 times, for Most Commonly Played Pattern. To think that the {2-2-1-1} Pattern last played September 7, 2016, exactly one week prior to Wednesday’s drawing! Right now it looks like these Patterns are taking turns, but will it continue?

The [2-2-1-1] General Order, like the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, also previously played on September 7th. Now having played 12 times, and with 35 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern, the [2-2-1-1] General Order has played 34.3% of the time. When looking at all 99 Powerball drawings, this shrinks to 12.1%.

Unlike the Pattern and General Order of the evening, the 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order previously played near the beginning of the year on January 13th. With two appearances, and with 12 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order prevailed, the 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 16.7% of the time. This becomes 5.71% of the time when we look at the 35 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern, and 2.02% when taking all 99 drawings into account.

And now for something a little different. Normally, when we talk about repeating Combinations in Powerball, we talk about the Three-Number Combinations. Last night, we saw a Two-Number Combination that has played four times.

The unusual Two-Number Combination. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.
The unusual Two-Number Combination. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Two-Number Combination came in the form of 11, 23, as shown in the boxed section in the picture above. Not only has this Combination played four times, every instance has occurred this year.

The 11, 23 Combination played on the following dates:

  • March 19, 2016
  • March 26, 2016 (exactly one week later)
  • July 30, 2016
  • September 14, 2016 (a.k.a. “The drawing we’re currently discussing”)

As we enter the final weekend of summer (or winter), will the Lotto Texas {4-2} Pattern go for an encore? Will the {2-2-1-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns continue their power struggle, or will another Powerball Pattern get a chance to play?

Streak Smashing Soiree

So far, September has been unkind to streaks. The highest ranking achieved has been “three-peat”. Neither the Lotto Texas nor Powerball Patterns that appeared Wednesday night played on Saturday. But, with the appearance of a Pattern that doesn’t get much play, and another Pattern that wants to retain its title, one would be tempted to ask “Who needs streaks?”

Lotto Texas

The September 10, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing graced us with 2, 12, 25, 27, 29, and 30, and giving us the 150th appearance of the {4-2} Pattern. We last saw this Pattern this past August on the 20th.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.
Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.

Now with 1376 drawings to date, the {4-2} Pattern has played 10.9% of the time. The stats show that this is not a commonly seen Pattern.

The 2 4 0 Specific Order made its 26th appearance, its first since August 3rd. Out of the 150 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern, this Specific Order has played 17.3% of the time. When taking all 1376 drawings into account, the 2 4 0 Specific Order has played 1.89% of the time.

One highlight of the evening was the repeat appearance of the Four-Number Combination 2, 12, 25, and 27.

This Combination made its debut back on April 12, 2008. Eight years is quite a bit of time!

Powerball

Although Powerball didn’t have any Three-Number Combination callbacks, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern may as well have said “I don’t think so” to the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. Recall that {2-2-1-1} dethroned the {2-1-1-1-1} as Most Commonly Played Powerball Pattern and that it wasn’t that long ago that {2-1-1-1-1} reclaimed its title…and that last time {2-2-1-1} played. Never mind that {2-1-1-1-1} has played the Saturday prior (September 3rd)!

With its 36th appearance, the {2-1-1-1-1} can still lay claim to its title thanks to the following winning numbers: 3, 17, 49, 55, 68, and PB 8.

Winning Powerball numbers from lotterytrend-powerball.com.
Winning Powerball numbers from lotterytrend-powerball.com.

With 98 Powerball drawings to date, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played 36.7% of the time.

The [1-1-2-1-1] General Order made its 7th appearance, its first since August 27th, 2016. Out of the 36 drawings with the {2-1-1-1-1} Winning Pattern, the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order has played 19.4% of the time. When looking at all 98 Powerball drawings, this becomes 7.14%.

The 1 1 0 2 1 1 Specific Order made its second-ever appearance, and has played 28.6% of the time when looking at the 7 drawings where [1-1-2-1-1] was the General Order. This becomes 5.56% when looking at the 36 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played, and 2.04% of all Powerball drawings. As to when this Specific Order first played? March 19, 2016.

As we approach the middle of the month, will there still be uncommonly played Patterns? Will another power struggle ensue in Powerball?

Lotto Texas Fireworks and a Powerball Upset

Things are starting to wind down in the “real world”. The Rio Olympics are wrapping up and more families are putting their school routines into action. Meanwhile, in Lottery World, Lotto Texas saw a Pattern that doesn’t play often and then some. On the national scale, Powerball now has a Pattern that gives the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern a run for its money.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers in the August 20, 2016 drawing were 9, 10, 12, 17, 41, and 51, giving us the 149th appearance of the {4-2} Pattern.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.
Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.

With 1370 drawings to date, the {4-2} Pattern has now played 10.9% of the time. We last saw this Pattern on August 3, 2016.

The 4 0 2 Specific Order played for the 21st time, making its first appearance since July 16th, 2016. In the 149 drawings in which the {4-2} Pattern won, the 4 0 2 Specific Order has now played 14.1% of the time. This becomes 1.53% of the time when looking at all 1370 drawings.

Saturday’s drawing gave us a repeat appearance of a Five-Number Combination! The lucky numbers were 9, 10, 12, 17, and 51, and they played together for the first time back on November 1, 2008.

Here’s the thing to keep in mind about Five-Number Combinations: When a Five-Number Combination repeats, the natural fallout is five Four-Number Combinations repeating. The following Four-Number Combinations were also seen for the first time since November 1, 2008:

  • 9, 10, 17, 51
  • 9, 12, 17, 51
  • 9, 10, 12, 51
  • 10, 12, 17, 51

Powerball

Powerball may not have seen a repeat play of a Three-Number Combination, but it can brag about something else.

Powerball’s winning numbers were 3, 6, 21, 60, 68, and PB 24.

See, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 32nd appearance, and is now tied with the {2-1-1-1-1} as “Most Commonly Seen Powerball Pattern”. The {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played 34.8% of the time, and we last saw the {2-2-1-1} Pattern on August 6, 2016.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order appeared for the 9th time, its first since August 3, 2016. Out of the 32 drawings in which {2-2-1-1} played, the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played 28.1% of the time. When we look at all 92 Powerball drawings, this becomes 9.78% of the time.

Finally, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order made its second appearance, and it too previously played on August 3, 2016. Given this, the stats are now as follows:

  • 2 out of 9 drawings (22.2% of the time) in which the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played
  • 2 out of 32 drawings (6.25% of the time) in which the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played and
  • 2 out of 92 (2.17%) of all Powerball drawings.

What do Wednesday’s drawings have in store? Will Lotto Texas see another Pattern not played often? Will the {2-2-1-1} become the new commonly seen Powerball Pattern?

Lotto Texas Retro and Powerball Surprises

If the “August Doldrums” were a thing, then Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t get the memo Wednesday night. Lotto Texas continues to be quite the firecracker with the appearance of a Pattern that doesn’t get much play. In contrast to the July 30th drawing, Powerball shot for the stars, what with a Pattern that could very well become the new “Most Commonly Played Pattern”.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for August 3, 2016 were provided by 17, 18, 24, 26, 28, and 35.

Winning numbers. From lotterytrend.com

These numbers followed the {4-2} Pattern, which has now played 148 times. Although this Pattern previously played on July 23, 2016, there have been 1365 Lotto Texas drawings. Thus, the {4-2} Pattern has played 10.8% of the time.

The 2 4 0 Specific Order made its 25th appearance, and it too previously played on July 23, 2016. Given the 148 appearances of the {4-2} Pattern, the 2 4 0 Specific Order has played 16.9% of the time. Taking all 1365 Lotto Texas drawings into account, we can see that the 2 4 0 Specific Order played 1.83% of the time.

Two Four-Number Combinations played for a second time Wednesday. One such Combination was

  • 17, 18, 26, and 35, which first played October 6, 2007

and the other was

  • 18, 24, 26, and 28, which first played July 21, 2001.

Both Combinations first played in a time when VHS tapes were still a thing although by 2007 they had been largely phased out. For our younger readers who don’t remember or just don’t know what a VHS tape is, Google it.

And now on to Powerball.

 Powerball

The August 3rd Powerball numbers were brought to us by 9, 11, 27, 66, 67, and PB 2.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played for the 30th time, its first appearance since July 27, 2016. With 87 Powerball drawings to date, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played 34.5% of the time.  Interestingly, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is the most commonly seen Pattern to date, having played 32 times.

On the General Order side of things, the [2-1-2-1] General Order played for the 8th time, having previously played on July 23, 2016. The [2-1-2-1] General Order has played 26.7% of the time if we look at just the 30 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played. A look at all 87 Powerball drawings decreases the stats to 9.2% of all plays.

The 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order made its very first appearance in Wednesday’s drawing! So far, the breakdown for this Specific Order is as follows:

  • 12.5% of the time (1/8) the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played
  • 3.3% of the time (1/30) the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played and
  • 1.15% of the time (1/87) given all Powerball drawings.

Powerball also saw a Combination play for the second time. We saw a Three-Number Combination in the form of 66, 67, and PB 2, which first played a little more than eight months ago on November 28, 2015.

Will Lotto Texas surprise us with a {4-2} Pattern encore? Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern establish a streak and overtake the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern as Powerball’s “Most Commonly Seen Pattern”?

Combos! Combos Everywhere!

Saturday night’s results didn’t lead to another attempt at a {3-2-1} Pattern streak in Lotto Texas nor an encore of Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Instead, we saw results that were nothing like we’ve covered on our blog so far. Lotto Texas was quite a doozy and Powerball had some interesting plays as well. Grab some popcorn and a bottle of your favorite spirits because we have quite the recap!

These numbers were the 147th appearance of the {4-2} Pattern, and with there being 1362 Lotto Texas drawings, the {4-2} Pattern has played 10.8% of the time. In fact, the {4-2} Pattern played exactly one week ago on July 16, 2016.

We saw the 2 4 0 Specific Order play for the 24th time. The 2 4 0 Specific Order has played 16.3% of the time given the 147 times that the {4-2} Pattern appeared. This shrinks to 1.76% of the time if we consider all 1362 Lotto Texas drawings.

What makes Saturday night’s drawing different from all the other Lotto Texas drawings we’ve covered so far is that we saw a similar spread appear for the third time! A spread is the difference between adjacent numbers. A similar spread occurs when the differences between numbers in separate drawings are the same, but the order is different. Here’s what we mean:

On April 12, 2003, the winning numbers for Lotto Texas were 9, 16, 22, 26, 27, and 31. The spread that appeared that evening was 07:06:04:01:04. The July 23rd, 2016 winning numbers’ spread was 04:07:06:01:04.

The winning numbers for the March 12, 2014 Lotto Texas drawing were 24, 31, 37, 41, 45, and 46 and their spread was 07:06:04:04:01. Again, we see that the July 23rd spread is similar to the March 12th, 2014 spread.

If we take a closer look at each of the three spreads (April 12, 2003, March 12, 2014, and July 23, 2016), we can see that they are all similar.

By contrast, an exact spread occurs when the difference between adjacent numbers and their orders are the same. For more information on similar spreads and exact spreads, check out our Texas Lottery Trend site.

The three-time appearance of a similar spread was just a warm-up. We saw a Five-Number Combination make its second appearance in the form of 8, 19, 25, 26, and 30, which first played back on January 8, 2014.

Given the appearance of a Five-Number Combination, that automatically leads to the repeat appearance of at least five Four-Number Combinations. In fact, we saw six Four-Number Combinations play for a second time!

  • 19, 25, 26, 30
  • 8, 25, 26, 30
  • 8, 19, 25, 30
  • 8, 19, 26, 30

All of these Four-Number Combinations played for the first time on January 8, 2014! There was one other Four-Number Combination in the form of 12, 25, 26, and 30 that played for the first time on July 6, 2013.

Of course, we’re not even going to mention how 8, 25, 26, and 30 also played in the July 22, 2016 Mega Millions drawing…

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers from the July 23rd, 2016 drawing were 5, 7, 23, 35, 39, and PB 11.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played in 28 out of 84 Powerball drawings, or 33.3% of the time. Prior to Saturday’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played July 2, 2016.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern followed the [2-1-2-1] General Order. With a seventh appearance, the [2-1-2-1] has appeared in 25% of the drawings in which the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played. Considering all 84 Powerball drawings to date, the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played 8.33% of the time. This General Order previously played on April 30, 2016.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order gave way to the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order. The 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has now played 3 out of 7 times in which the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played, or 42.9%. Taking the 28 drawings in which {2-2-1-1} has played, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 10.7% of the time. Finally, taking all 84 Powerball drawings into account, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 3.57% of the time. Like the [2-1-2-1] General Order, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order previously played on April 30, 2016.

We conclude our Powerball coverage with Three-Number Combinations. We saw two Combinations play for the second time:

  • 5, 7, 23 which first played on May 21, 2016.
  • 23, 39, and MB 11 which first played on May 18, 2016.

Will July end with a fireworks show?

Lotto Texas and Powerball Saturday Night Combo Mambo

Saturday’s drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball ended the week with a bang. The {3-2-1} Pattern streak in Lotto Texas had been broken and Powerball saw an Australia Play encore!

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the July 16th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing were 6, 13, 16, 17, 44, and 54.

Instead of the {3-2-1} Pattern that we saw for five consecutive plays, these numbers followed the {4-2} Pattern. Of the 1360 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {4-2} Pattern has played 146 times, or 10.7% of the time. The last time we saw this Pattern play was back on May 25th, 2016.

The {4-2} Pattern broke down into the 4 0 2 Specific Order, which prior to Saturday’s drawing hadn’t played since March 30th, 2016. As of Saturday’s drawing, the 4 0 2 Specific Order has now played 20 times. Out of the 146 Lotto Texas drawings in which {4-2} has played, the 4 0 2 Specific Order has appeared 13.7% of the time. When we take all 1360 Lotto Texas drawings into account, this Specific Order has played only 1.47% of the time.

We also saw the appearance of three Four-Number Combinations, each having played twice. This is the first time our blog has covered such an occurrence! The three Four-Number Combinations were as follows:

These numbers gave way to the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which in fact played July 13th, 2016 (this past Wednesday). Given the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, we also saw the [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order. This consecutive Australia Play brings the total number of drawings for the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order up to 10. With 82 Powerball drawings to date, all three have played 12.2% of the time.

Powerball also saw some action with previously played Combinations. We saw two Three-Number Combinations make a second appearance. These Three-Number Combinations were

  • 40, 50, and 62, which first played February 10th, 2016.
  • 11, 50, and 62, which first played March 12th, 2016.

Looking ahead to next week, will the {4-2} Pattern create its own streak? Will Powerball see an Australia Play three-peat?
