The {4-1-1} on the Playback

Today’s post is going to start with a fun fact about July 11th. In the U.S., it’s National 7-11 Day. The “holiday” is commemorated by the convenience stores offering free small Slurpees. In lieu of these drinks, Lotto Texas and Powerball offered rising jackpots of $10.25 million and $100 million, respectively. With Powerball inching closer to “insanely large jackpot” territory (Mega Millions is already there), things got sweeter when after so many instances of coming close, a playback finally occurred.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {4-1-1} Pattern made its 169th appearance with winning numbers 17, 20, 26, 28, 31, and 46.

Of the 1567 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.8% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, this Pattern played in the July 4, 2018 drawing, which was exactly one week prior.

Now with 58 appearances, the 1 4 1 Specific Order has played in 34.5% of the 169 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This Specific Order has also played in 3.70% of all 1567 drawings and was last seen on November 22, 2017.

Four-Number Combination(s)

The big event for Lotto Texas was the passing of the playback torch to Powerball. There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball’s playback didn’t come from the {4-1-1} Pattern, but rather the {3-2-1} Pattern. With winning numbers 19, 21, 27, 46, 47, and PB 7, this Pattern has now played 20 times.

Inside these six numbers is a playback. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 289 Powerball drawings to date, this Pattern has played 6.92% of the time.

The [3-2-1] General Order has now played ten times. With that said, this General Order has played in 50% of the 20 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 3.46% of all 289 drawings.

Now with four appearances, the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 40% of the ten drawings where the General Order was [3-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 20% of the 20 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Finally, when looking at all 289 drawings, this Specific Order has played in 1.38% of them.

The {3-2-1} Pattern, [3-2-1] General Order, and the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order all played together previously in the April 28, 2018 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination of the evening, 21, 47, PB 7, made its debut on January 27, 2018.

Neither the {4-1-1} nor {3-2-1} Patterns are commonly seen. Will either of them see an encore Saturday night? Could another playback take place?

The Encore and Playback Fireworks Spectacular

Another Fourth of July has come and gone. Whether watching them from home or in a park, the holiday never seems to be complete without one thing: fireworks! Lotto Texas and Powerball put on their own fireworks show Wednesday night. In addition to rising jackpots – $9 million and $80 million, respectively – there was the display of a Pattern encore and a fine showing of a playback.

With winning numbers 1, 2, 10, 11, 31, and 51, the {4-1-1} Pattern made its 168th appearance.

Buried in these six numbers is a playback. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Given that there have been 1565 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.7% of the time.

Now with 56 appearances, the 4 1 1 Specific Order has played in 33.3% of the 168 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This Specific Order has also played in 3.58% of all 1565 drawings.

Prior to Wednesday night, both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the 4 1 1 Specific Order played on January 10th, 2018.

Four-Number Combination(s)

In addition to a playback, there was one repeating Four-Number Combination:

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of the June 30th drawing, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern came back for an encore. This time, the winning numbers were 4, 7, 15, 41, 44, and PB 10.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has now played 101 times, and with 287 Powerball drawings to date, this Pattern has played in 35.2% of them.

The [2-1-1-1-1] General Order also came back for an encore. With its 28th appearance, this General Order has now played in 27.7% of the 101 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 287 drawings, this General Order has played 9.76% of the time.

The 4-1-1 on the {4-1-1} Pattern

Any hopes for a {2-2-1-1} Pattern streak were dashed in the June 12th drawing. Additionally, there was no jackpot winner, and the prize now stands at $161 million. Nonetheless, Mega Millions saw a shake up, and Lottery Binge has the 4-1-1 on Tuesday’s drawing. For starters, there were a couple of 4-1-1’s.

General Lottery Analysis

The first 4-1-1, of course, was the {4-1-1} Pattern. Its tenth appearance was thanks to winning numbers 1, 3, 5, 8, 70 and MB 3.

{4-1-1} is not a very common Pattern. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

As of the 366th Mega Millions drawing, this Pattern has played 2.73% of the time. The {4-1-1} Pattern was last seen on May 4, 2018.

The second 4-1-1 was the [4-1-1] General Order. With its sixth appearance, this General Order has now played in 60% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 366 drawings, this General Order has played 1.64% of the time. Fun fact: The [4-1-1] General Order played alongside the {4-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 4th drawing.

Tuesday’s drawing saw the debut of the 4 0 0 0 1 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in roughly 16.7% of the six drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also now played in 10% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.27% of all 366 drawings.

Three Number Combination(s)

Will there be another shakeup in Friday’s drawing? Could the {4-1-1} Pattern be daring enough to make an encore?

The One Where Uncommonly Seen Patterns Were Unearthed

Two things reached the stratosphere May 16th: The Houston Rockets and the Powerball jackpot. Nobody won the big prize Wednesday night, and as I write this post, the jackpot is now an outstanding $306 million. There was a winner in Lotto Texas, one who is now $30.2 million richer. Regardless of whether a winner came forth, a couple of rarities were unearthed, one for each lottery.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 20, 24, 27, 37, 39, and 41, the uncommonly-seen {3-3} Pattern made its 131st appearance.

The first of two rare Patterns. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Given that there have been 1551 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 8.45% of the time and was last seen in the April 14, 2018 drawing.

Now with 42 appearances, the 0 3 3 Specific Order has played in 32.1% of the 131 drawings where {3-3} was the winning Pattern. This Specific Order has also played in 2.71% of all 1551 drawings. Prior to Wednesday’s drawing, this Specific Order was last seen on November 30, 2016.

Four-Number Combination(s)

In addition to a not-so-common Pattern, there were two repeating Four-Number Combinations:

  • 20, 24, 37, 39 (Debuted June 10, 2009)
  • 20, 27, 37, 41 (Debuted March 2, 2016)

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Even rarer than the {3-3} Pattern in Lotto Texas is Powerball’s {4-1-1}. After Wednesday night’s drawing, the {4-1-1} Pattern has made a grand total of five appearances. The winning numbers were 17, 19, 21, 22, 51, and PB 19.

Fifth time’s the charm. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 273 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 1.83% of them. The {4-1-1} Pattern was last seen on March 17, 2018.

With three appearances, the [4-1-1] General Order has played in 60% of the five drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.10% of all 273 drawings. We last saw the [4-1-1] General Order on September 16, 2017.

Wednesday night saw the debut of a new Specific Order! The 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has now played in 33.3% of the three drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 20% of the five drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.37% of all 273 drawings.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Cuatro-Uno-Uno

The (possibly) gratuitous Spanish is thanks to Cinco de Mayo. Whether to commemorate the Mexican army’s victory over the French or a day to go crazy with margaritas, it’s more than “just” a holiday. Mega Millions didn’t have the honor of playing on Cinco de Mayo (that was last year), but the May 4, 2018 drawing kicked off the festive weekend.

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 4, 5, 10, 12, 18, and MB 21, the {4-1-1} Pattern played for the ninth time.

These six numbers had the 4-1-1. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have been 355 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has now played in 2.54% of them. We last saw this Pattern in the February 20th, 2018 drawing.

The [4-1-1] General Order, with five appearances now, has played in 55.6% of the nine drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order also accompanied said Pattern in the February 20th drawing mentioned earlier. And, out of the 355 drawings so far, the [4-1-1] General Order has played in 1.41% of them.

Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing saw the debut of the 4 1 0 0 0 1 Specific Order. This means that it has now played in 20% of the five drawings where the General Order of the evening was [4-1-1]. The Specific Order has also played in 11.1% of the nine drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.28% of all 355 drawings.

Three Number Combination(s)

In addition to the debut of a new Specific Order, there was also one repeating Three-Number Combination:

Will the {4-1-1} Pattern make an encore appearance in Tuesday’s drawing?

Being Green

St. Patrick’s Day. A holiday that, believe it or not, is more popular in the United States than it is in Ireland. Other words that come to mind for that day are usually “green”, “shamrock”, or “Guinness”. This year, Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of holding their drawings on St. Patrick’s Day. Well, night, technically. And what a night it was!

Given the 256 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in roughly 1.56% of them, and was last seen in the September 16, 2017 drawing.

The [1-4-1] General Order, now with two appearances, has played in half of the four drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern, and in 0.78% of all 256 drawings. We last saw the [1-4-1] General Order on August 27, 2016.

Saturday night saw the debut of the 0 1 0 0 4 1 Specific Order. This has now played in half of the two drawings where [1-4-1] was General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 25% of the four drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Finally, when looking at all 256 drawings, this Specific Order has played 0.39% of the time.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations this time.

Will the {3-2-1} Pattern continue its streak in Lotto Texas Wednesday night? Could Powerball see repeating Three-Number Combinations?

Serve It Up Rare

Nothing else this month has come close to topping the madness of February 9th. At least, until the February 20, 2018 drawing. Instead of going for a heavy hitter like a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore, or even another similar spread, Mega Millions chose a different path. It’s not a commonly taken path, but it can yield great results.

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 17, 19, 23, 24, 43, and MB 14, the rarely-seen {4-1-1} Pattern made its eighth appearance.

One of the rarest Mega Millions Patterns. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have now been 334 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played roughly 2.40% of the time. Prior to Tuesday, this Pattern played on December 12, 2017.

The [4-1-1] General Order made its fourth appearance and has played in half of the eight drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has played in roughly 1.20% of all 334 drawings and was last seen on March 28, 2017. This General Order was reconfigured from the [1-3-1-1] General Order seen that night. The winning numbers were 30, 33, 35, 37, 46, and MB 10.

Tuesday night saw the debut of the 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order. This has now played in 25% of the 4 drawings where the [4-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 12.5% of the eight drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 334 drawings, the 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has played roughly 0.3% of the time.

Three Number Combination(s)

A rare Pattern was enough, it seems. There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will Friday see a {4-1-1} repeat, or will another, more common Pattern take the spotlight?

Grounded

The buzz has died down in Powerball. With only one winner of the $559 million jackpot, the prize returned to a more “acceptable” level. Even without crazy-high jackpots, January 10th was a good night for Lotto Texas and Powerball fans who dig repeating Combinations.

Will either the {4-1-1} Pattern or {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern make an encore Saturday night?

The 4-1-1 on Mega Millions

Time flies by, doesn’t it? With only a few weeks left in 2017, let’s take moment to reflect:

  • Another {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak happened over the summer.
  • A new system was implemented early last month. Instead of 75 “regular” balls and 15 Mega Balls, we now have 70 “regular” balls and 25 Mega Balls. We call the new system 70-25.

With this new system, there have been 314 drawings. Of those drawings, this is the first one to have the uncommonly-seen {4-1-1} Pattern.

General Lottery Analysis

The December 12, 2017 drawing saw winning numbers 8, 23, 24, 25, 27, and MB 9, bringing the number of appearances of the {4-1-1} to  seven.

Out came a rare Pattern. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has played 2.23% of the time, and was last seen in the March 28, 2017 drawing. This was reconfigured from the {3-1-1-1} Pattern seen that night.

Tuesday night also saw the fourth appearance of the [1-4-1] General Order. This General Order has played in 57.1% of the seven drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When looking at all 314 Mega Millions drawings, the [1-4-1] General Order has played in 1.27% of them. We last saw this General Order in the June 10, 2016 drawing. This wasn’t reconfigured from anything.

The 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order made its world debut! At least, in the 70-25 system. Under said system, this Specific Order has played in 25% of the four drawings where the [1-4-1] General Order has appeared. It has also played in 14.3% of the seven drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.32% of all drawings. The 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order did appear in the old 75-15 system, having been seen in the July 22, 2016 drawing. That Specific Order was reconfigured to 1 3 1 0 0 1 so it would comply with the 70-25 system.

Will Friday’s drawing feature another rarely-seen Pattern?

A Night of Wednesdays Past

First, we would like to wish our U.S. readers a Happy Thanksgiving. May the pigskin fly and the turkey be bountiful.

Some things rest for no man, and lottery drawings are some of those things. Lotto Texas and Powerball flipped the script November 22nd. There weren’t any Pattern encores, but, each lottery’s Pattern was last seen on a previous Wednesday in November. There was another switch-up, but you’ll have to keep reading to find out what it was.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Lotto Texas contributed to the holiday spirit with the not-so-commonly seen {4-1-1} Pattern. With winning numbers, 7, 22, 24, 33, 34, and 50, this Pattern has now played 166 times.

And, it has played in 3.80% of all 1501 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, this Specific Order previously played on November 11, 2017.
