A Streak and a Breakup

There appeared to be a shakeup in the Lottery World. After just two dates, Powerball called it quits with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. Meanwhile, Lotto Texas and the {3-2-1} Pattern had another go. Things got even hotter with the debut of a new Specific Order and a repeating Three-Number Combination. Throw in rising grand prizes of $7.75 million and $304 million, February 20th was anything but a quiet night!

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The relationship Lotto Texas has with the {3-2-1} Pattern is a special one. Not only is it the most commonly played Pattern, it went for the “four-peat”. With winning numbers 12, 30, 36, 38, 51, and 54, this Pattern has now played 861 times.

Fourth date. Source: lotterytrend.com

There have been 1631 drawings, and this Pattern has played in 52.8% of them.

It just so happened that the {3-2-1} Pattern wasn’t all that came back Wednesday. The 1 2 3 Specific Order made an encore, adding a little more spice to the night. Now with 154 appearances, this Specific Order has played in 17.9% of the 861 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 9.44% of all 1631 drawings.

Both the {3-2-1} Pattern and the 1 2 3 Specific Order were last seen February 16, 2019.

Four-Number Combination(s)

The {3-2-1} Pattern and 1 2 3 Specific Order just wanted Lotto Texas for themselves. This, in turn, led to the repeating Four-Number Combinations getting edged out.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball made a great connection with the {4-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 27, 49, 50, 51, 52, and PB 2. This Pattern has now played nine times.

Of the 353 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 2.55% of the time and was last seen February 9, 2019.

The [1-4-1] General Order made its fifth appearance and has now played in roughly 55.6% of the nine drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 1.42% of all 353 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, the [1-4-1] General Order played October 17, 2018.

The 0 1 0 4 0 1 Specific Order made its world debut! With that said, this Specific Order has played in 20% of the five drawings where the General Order was [1-4-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 11.1% of the nine drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.28% of all 353 drawings.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The date ended with repeating Three-Number Combination 49, 50, and 52.

This lone repeater made its debut in the August 17, 2016 drawing.

Regardless of what happened last week, both lotteries finished strong. Lotto Texas may have a thing going with the {3-2-1} Pattern but Powerball has the whole “crazy-high” jackpot angle going into Saturday night. Will the love affair continue in Lotto Texas or is the (inevitable) breakup just around the corner?

The February 9th Playback Spectacle

Momentum was ramped up Saturday night! For starters, Lotto Texas went ahead full throttle. This normally unassuming lottery appears to have developed a newfound spunk. Its affliction with Playback Fever was only tempered by its respectable $7 million grand prize.

Powerball, often seen as the grander of the two, showed a few symptoms of the Fever as well. However, a surprise Specific Order kept it from completely taking over. The prize continued climbing towards stratospheric heights, now standing at $242 million.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball was graced with one of its least common Patterns: the {4-1-1}. With winning numbers 1, 2, 3, 7, 39, and PB 25, this Pattern made its eighth appearance.

A rare occurrence. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Of the 350 Powerball drawings to date, this Pattern has played 2.29% of the time.

The [4-1-1] General Order made its fourth appearance and has now played in 50% of the eight drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 1.14% of all 350 drawings.

Both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the [4-1-1] General Order were last seen May 16, 2018.

What kept Playback Fever from taking a complete hold over Powerball was the debut of a Specific Order! Making its first ever appearance, the 4 0 1 0 0 1 Specific Order has now played in 25% of the four drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 12.5% of the eight drawings were {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.29% of all 350 drawings.

Three-Number Combination(s)

In addition to the debut of a Specific Order, Powerball saw three repeating Three-Number Combinations:

February has been a strong month for both Lotto Texas and Powerball so far. Will the momentum continue with more playbacks or a Pattern encore Wednesday night?

Christmas Pattern Spice

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the days are getting shorter. If going to work in the dark and/or coming home in the dark isn’t enough, it’s getting colder. Thankfully, the Christmas lights, the hot drinks, and the lottery are just a few things that make us forget about the cold!

With twenty days before Christmas, there were no grand prize winners for either Lotto Texas or Powerball. December 5th saw the jackpots rise to $7.5 million and $217 million, respectively. Even though there were no Pattern encores, the lotteries spiced things up with a couple of uncommonly seen Patterns.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern streak was short-lived. Instead, the {4-1-1} Pattern made its 175th appearance with winning numbers 8, 10, 13, 16, 30, and 45.

Of the 1609 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.9% of the time and was last seen November 21st, 2018.

This Pattern has played in 6.65% of the 331 Powerball drawings and previously played October 27th, 2018.

The [2-3-1] General Order made its eleventh appearance and has now played in 50% of the 22 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 331 drawings into consideration, this General Order has played 3.32% of the time. We last saw the [2-3-1] General Order in the November 18th, 2017 drawing.

The treat of the evening was the world debut of the 2 0 3 0 0 1 Specific Order! This has now played in 9.09% of the eleven drawings where the General Order was [2-3-1]. This Specific Order has also appeared in 4.55% of the 22 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.30% of all 331 drawings.

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination was 9, 37, and PB 11.

This Combination made its debut in the December 16th, 2017 drawing.

The only thing consistent in December so far is the rising jackpots. Still, one can’t help but wonder if either of these uncommon Patterns will make an encore Saturday night.

The Playback and Encore Side Dishes

Whether you’re in Bermuda shorts in Honolulu or wearing long johns in New York City, Lottery Binge wants to wish all our U.S. readers a Happy Thanksgiving! If you don’t fill up on turkey, at least fill up on the desserts!

Thanksgiving Eve can be one of the most frustrating days of the year. Whether trapped in traffic or rushing to the store for last-minute items, frustration levels may rival those of the big day itself! Thankfully, neither Lotto Texas nor Powerball get stuck in traffic. Nor do they need to bake in an oven for several hours.

November 21st continued the “busy-ness” of Lotto Texas and Powerball. They more than proved that repeating Four and Three-Number Combinations are just one way to generate excitement. Jackpots that rose to $6.5 million and $155 million, respectively, were another. Lotto Texas took the playback route, whereas Powerball took the Path of the Pattern Encore.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball was buzzworthy in two ways. Not only did the jackpot rise to a value that ties (yes, ties) with Mega Millions, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played for the fourth time in a row! The 118th appearance of the Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 7, 14, 23, 38, 55, and PB 18.

The 2 1 1 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played on a holiday! More specifically, July 4, 2018.

Three-Number Combination(s)

No repeating Three-Number Combinations were to be found this time.

With Thanksgiving coming early this year, it’s easy to forget that there’s still another week left. The start of the Christmas shopping season being the day after doesn’t help. The grand prizes for Lotto Texas and Powerball will make excellent Christmas presents for who ever wins them! Will these grand prizes rise again Saturday night with another Lotto Texas playback or a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern five-peat in Powerball?

Big Things in “Small” Lotteries

Truthfully, none of the Big Three lotteries covered in this blog (Powerball, Lotto Texas, Mega Millions) are small. Yet, even among giants, there’s a “shorty”. Lotto Texas never seems to unleash monsters or enthrall nations with powerful spells. Despite being the smallest, it has its own quirks and is more than capable of throwing punches. After all, it did have a Pattern play eight times in a row!

There was nothing that grandiose November 10th. Nevertheless, Lotto Texas still had the biggest plays of the night, and with a jackpot now at $5.75 million, its respectable image was maintained. Powerball, notorious for being a powerhouse, crossed the $100 million threshold ($106 million), and largely kept to itself.

In addition to the playback, the repeating Four-Number Combination 37, 38, 40, and 54 made its second appearance.

So far, the only thing that has been consistent in November has been rising jackpots. Yet, a few of these nights have been accompanied by Pattern streaks, especially in Lotto Texas. Powerball did see its most common Pattern, and one tried and true method to stay on top is through Pattern streaks. Could Wednesday see an encore of either the {4-1-1} or {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern?

The Strengthening Spell

One down. One to go.

Powerball’s spell tightened its hold on the land October 24th. The prize rose to $750 million! Lotto Texas received a boost as well, climbing to $14.5 million. Although it may be the “runt” of the lotteries, it more than held its own.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball’s method of attack was the {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore. Fresh from this past Saturday, it proved useful enough for the spell to be cast once more. This time, the winning numbers were 3, 21, 45, 53, 56, and PB 22.

This Pattern has now played 65 times and given that there have been 319 Powerball drawings, it has played in 20.4% of them.

The [1-1-3-1] General Order took a cue from the {3-1-1-1} Pattern and made an encore appearance as well! Finally, when taking all 319 drawings into consideration, this Specific Order has played 0.94% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, the 1 1 0 3 0 1 Specific Order played on May 20, 2017.

The weekend is close at hand, and Halloween is not that far behind. Will Powerball amass more power Saturday night, or will the spell be broken?

Under a Jackpot Spell

A madness has gripped the country. There is at least one billion dollars’ worth of jackpots to be won! Mega Millions leads the pack, but Powerball is determined to catch up. The jackpot over there climbed to $430 million!

Lotto Texas has a way to go before it reaches those crazy-rich heights. Still, $12.75 million isn’t small change, either!

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

What Lotto Texas “lacks” in jackpot, it makes up with moxie, and by moxie, we mean “Pattern streak”. The {3-2-1} Pattern went for the three-peat with winning numbers 18, 19, 23, 31, 46, and 47, bringing the number of appearances to 836.

Of the 317 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 2.21% of the time and was last seen September 22, 2018.

This General Order has also played in 1.26% of all 317 Powerball drawings. Fun fact: the [1-4-1] General Order played alongside the {4-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned September 22nd drawing.

Now you’re probably thinking a playback happened, yes?

Well, no, but, there was something even better: the world debut of the 1 0 0 0 4 1 Specific Order! This Specific Order has now played in 25% of the four drawings where the General Order was [1-4-1] and in 14.3% of the seven drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Autumn Brings More Surprises!

Hello again, Lottery Trend Fans! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, giving you the latest lottery updates. As we witness the second day of Autumn, two combinations make their first appearance in almost ten years and Lotto Texas experiences an Australian play and more! And now the details.

Lotto Texas

Last night on September 22, 2018, the winning numbers for Lotto Texas were 4, 7, 27, 35, 50, and 53.

Surprise appearance by the {2-2-2} Pattern. Source: lotterytrend.com.

As mentioned earlier, Lotto Texas experienced an Australian play when the {2-2-2} Pattern and 2 2 2 Specific Order both made their 221st appearance and appeared in approximately 13.92% of all 1588 drawings. They last played on August 8, 2018.

And, there were also a repeat appearance of two Four-Number Combinations:

  • 27, 35, 50, and 53, which debuted May 1, 2010 and
  • 4, 27, 35, and 53, which debuted November 29, 2008.

Like I said before, it’s not often that we see a Four-Number Combination repeat a short while after its debut.

Powerball

On the same night as Lotto Texas, Powerball’s winning numbers were 24, 61, 63, 64, 69 and PB 18.

The rarely played {4-1-1} Pattern made its 6th appearance and has played in approximately 1.94% of all 310 drawings. It last played on May 16, 2018.

The [1-4-1] General Order made its 3rd appearance and has played in 50% of all 6 drawings associated with the {4-1-1} Pattern and approximately 0.97% of all 310 drawings. It last played on St. Patrick’s Day of 2017.

Like the  [1-4-1] General Order, it last played on St. Patrick’s Day of 2017.

Powerball also experienced a repeat appearance of two Three-Number Combinations:

Doldrums-B-Gone

The jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball inched upwards once more. Their respective jackpots are now $5.75 million and $70 million. But that’s not the focus of today’s post. Not really.

Let it be known that the night of August 22, 2018 was the night when Lotto Texas and Powerball joined forces and cast off the yoke of the “August Doldrums”! How was this achieved? Well, the introduction alone can’t do justice to what happened.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {4-1-1} Pattern made its 171st appearance with winning numbers 11, 25, 37, 38, 51, and 53.

Prior to Wednesday night, both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the 1 1 4 Specific Order previously played on August 15, 2018. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we had ourselves a playback!

And there was more. So much more.

Similar Spread

Lotto Texas also saw a similar spread. This happens when the numbers in the spreads are the same, but the orders are different. The spread for Wednesday night was 14:12:01:13:02. This is similar to the one that occurred on June 4, 2008. That night, the winning numbers were 4, 6, 18, 19, 32, and 46, with a spread of 02:12:01:13:14.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Given that there have been 301 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 29.6% of the time. Like the {4-1-1} Pattern seen in Lotto Texas, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played in the earlier-mentioned August 15th drawing.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 36th appearance and has now played in 40.4% of the 89 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in roughly 12% of all 301 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, this General Order played in the July 28, 2018 drawing.

The 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order previously played on July 7, 2018.
