A Change-Up in the Pattern

In the last post, the $90 million question was “Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern see a ‘four-peat’”? For those of you who were looking forward to seeing the “four-peat” in the June 9th drawing, the answer was a big NO. However, there were a couple of repeating Three-Number Combinations. Friday night’s drawing also saw the appearance of a Pattern that hadn’t been played in a while. Question is, which Pattern was it?

It turned out that the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was the Pattern of the evening. The winning numbers were 3, 16, 28, 33, 37, and MB 9.

Now with 114 appearances, this Pattern has played in 30% of the 380 Mega Millions drawings and was last seen in the May 2,2017 drawing a little over a month ago.

Making its 33rd appearance, the [1-2-2-1] General Order has played in 28.9% of the 114 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 8.68% of all drawings. Prior to Friday night, this General Order was last seen in the February 17, 2017 drawing.

The 1 2 2 0 0 1 Specific Order made its seventh appearance, and has now played in 21.2% of the 33 drawings where the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 6.14% of the 114 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} drawing has appeared, and in 1.84% of all 380 drawings. The 1 2 2 0 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the December 27, 2016 drawing.

The repeating Three-Number Combinations of the evening were

  • 16, 28, 33 (Debuted March 14, 2017)
  • 16, 28, MB 9 (Debuted August 15, 2014)

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern make an encore in Tuesday’s drawing?

Numbers on Walkabout

It seems that Australia Plays, and psyching people out with plays that seem to be Australia Plays, is now a thing. Lotto Texas saw a true Australia Play in the May 17th drawing, as well as two repeating Four-Number Combinations. Powerball seemed to follow Mega Millions in the whole “Looking like an Australia Play, but not” bit. Well, almost. Out of the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order, only two of these made an encore.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 16, 17, 29, 31, 37, and 51, marking the 195th appearance of both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order.

The Australia Play has now played in 13.5% of the 1447 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen a few weeks ago in the April 29th drawing.

The repeating Four-Number Combinations were

  • 16, 17, 31, 37 (Debuted April 15th, 2009) and
  • 16, 29, 31, 51 (Debuted January 5th, 2008)

Powerball

Right off the heels of this past Saturday’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance! The winning numbers this time around were 4, 11, 39, 45, 48, and PB 09.

Winning Powerball numbers. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Now with 53 appearances, this Pattern has played in 31.4% of the 169 Powerball drawings.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order also made an encore appearance in Wednesday’s drawing. Statistics-wise, this General order has now played in 32.1% of the 53 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in approximately 10.1% of all drawings.

Earlier, I had said that Powerball almost followed Mega Millions in the “Looking like an Australia Play, but not” category. If you remember this past Saturday’s Lottery Binge, the May 12th Mega Millions showed the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order had all appeared together before. Thing is, the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order were not the same!

In Powerball’s situation, while the Pattern and General Order had made an encore appearance, the Specific Order did not. That’s because Wednesday’s drawing saw the debut of the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order. This has now played in 5.88% of the 17 drawings where the [2-1-2-1] General Order has appeared, 1.89% of the 53 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and 0.59% of all Powerball drawings.

Looking ahead to Saturday, will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern go for a three-peat? Will there be another Australia Play?

Spreading the (Numbers) Love

Mother’s Day is that special day when mothers are cherished and remembered. Cards, gifts, and special meals are just some of the ways we celebrate. Lotto Texas and Powerball decided to spread the love on May 13, 2017 with encore appearances of Wednesday’s Patterns for both lotteries. Any commonalities between them end at this point, for Lotto Texas had most of the action. A repeating Four-Number Combination made its round, and something was spreading.

Lotto Texas

The {4-2} Pattern made an encore, with winning numbers 12, 17, 24, 25, 27, and 28.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers. From lotterytrend.com.

Now with 164 appearances, this Pattern has played in 11.3% of the 1446 Lotto Texas drawings.

The Specific Order of the evening was 2 4 0, making its 28th appearance. This Specific Order has now played in 17.1% of the 164 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.94% of the 1446 drawings. Prior to Saturday, the 2 4 0 Specific Order was last seen three months ago, in the February 4, 2017 drawing.

Now, this encore of the {4-2} Pattern was a bit different than others. See, there was a similar spread of 07:05:01:01:02 that came with the July 30, 2016 drawing. The winning numbers were 1, 8, 13, 14, 15, and 17. Given Saturday night’s numbers, the spread was 05:07:01:02:01. The thing about similar spreads is that even though the differences between numbers in the drawings were the same, the orders were different.

There’s one more thing to discuss, and that’s the repeating Four-Number Combination! The Combination consisting of 17, 14, 25, and 28 made its debut over nine years ago in the November 7, 2007 drawing.

Powerball

As mentioned earlier, Powerball also saw the Pattern from Wednesday night make an encore. The 52nd appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was marked by winning numbers 17, 20, 32, 63, 68, and PB 19.

Winning Powerball numbers. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 31% of all 168 Powerball drawings.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order made its 16th appearance, and has now played in 30.8% of the 52 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.52% of all drawings. This General Order was last seen in the May 3rd drawing just a couple of weeks ago.

Making its second appearance, the 0 2 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has now played in 12.5% of the 16 drawings where the [2-1-2-1] General Order has appeared. This becomes 3.85% when looking at the 52 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and 1.19% when looking at all 168 drawings. The 0 2 1 0 2 1 Specific Order made its debut early last year in the February 3, 2016 drawing.

Looking to the week ahead, will there be more similar spreads? Will there be a three-peat in either Lotto Texas or Powerball?

May 3rd With a Side of Repeating Combinations

Well, after a festive weekend, it wouldn’t seem out of the ordinary for Lotto Texas and Powerball to mellow out. Of course, that didn’t mean there weren’t any big plays on May 10, 2017. Far from it, in fact. Wednesday night’s results in both lotteries made a call back to the recent past.  As in, “Last week” recent past.

Lotto Texas

No, the {4-1-1} Pattern did not make an encore appearance. However, the {4-2} Pattern, having played exactly one week prior in the May 3rd drawing, made its 163rd appearance. The winning numbers were 21, 23, 27, 31, 38, and 46.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers. From lotterytrend.com.

This Pattern has now played in 11.3% of the 1445 Lotto Texas drawings.

How exciting it would’ve been if everything in Lotto Texas had previously played in May 3rd’s drawing! Alas, that was not so. The 0 4 2 Specific Order, now with 32 appearances, was last seen in the February 11, 2017 drawing. This Specific Order has now played in 19.6% of the 163 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and 2.21% of all 1445 drawings.

The biggest draw of the evening in Lotto Texas was the repeat appearances of two Four-Number Combinations. These Combinations were

  • 23, 31, 38, and 46 (Debuted December 18, 2010) and
  • 21, 23, 27, and 38 (Debuted February 11, 2009)
Repeating Four-Number Combinations are highlighted in red boxes. From lotterytrend.com.

Powerball

As it was in Lotto Texas, the Pattern was the only callback to May 3rd.  The 51st appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was due to winning numbers 29, 31, 46, 56, 62, and PB 8.

Winning Powerball numbers. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played in 30.5% of the 167 Powerball drawings.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 19th appearance, and was last seen in the February 4, 2017 drawing. With that said, this General Order has played in 37.3% of the 51 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 11.4% of all Powerball drawings.

Making its second appearance, the 0 0 2 2 1 1 Specific Order has now played in 10.5% of the 19 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order has appeared, 3.92% of the 51 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in approximately 1.2% of all 167 drawings. The 0 0 2 2 1 1 Specific Order made its debut in the September 28, 2016 drawing.

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will there be a Pattern encore in either Lotto Texas or Powerball? Will a Specific Order make its debut?

Scaling Back a Bit

The month of April ended with a bang. There was an Australia Play and a repeating Four-Number Combination in Lotto Texas, and a repeating Three-Number Combination in Powerball. Although there was nothing in the May 3rd drawings that screamed “Blowout!” there were some big plays.

Lotto Texas

One of these big plays was the 162nd appearance of the {4-2} Pattern, which isn’t commonly seen in Lotto Texas. Wednesday’s winning numbers were 4, 13, 42, 46, 52, and 53.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers. From lotterytrend.com.

This Pattern has now played in 11.2% of the 1443 drawings and was last seen in the March 4, 2017 drawing.

The 2 0 4 Specific Order made its 21st appearance, and has now played in roughly 13% of the 162 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern appeared. This statistic becomes 1.46% when taking all 1443 drawings into account. Prior to Wednesday, this Specific Order previously played in the February 8, 2017 drawing.

Powerball

Powerball saw the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 17, 18, 49, 59, 66, and PB 9.

Winning Powerball numbers. From lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Now with 50 appearances, this Pattern has played in 30.3% of the 165 Powerball drawings. The {2-2-1-1} Pattern previously played in the March 25, 2017 drawing.

Making its 15th appearance, the [2-1-2-1] General Order has now played in 30% of the 50 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.09% of all Powerball drawings. This General Order was previously seen in the March 22, 2017 drawing.

The big play of the evening in Powerball was the debut of the 0 2 0 1 2 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has now played in 6.667% of the 15 drawings where the [2-1-2-1] General Order has appeared and in 2% of the 50 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern appeared. When taking all 165 Powerball drawings into account, the 0 2 0 1 2 1 Specific Order has played 0.606% of the time.

Will the weekend give us a {2-2-1-1} repeat in Powerball? Will another Specific Order make its debut?

And Now May

May is another one of those transition months. It’s the last month of school for some lucky kids in Lottery Trend Country, basketball playoffs are underway (Go Rockets!), and the first anniversary of Lottery Binge is coming up. Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and what better way to get in the spirit than a three-peat?

The May 2nd drawing started the month with the third consecutive appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. Its 113th appearance was marked by winning numbers 5, 14, 42, 43, 58, and MB 1.

Winning Mega Millions numbers. From lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has now appeared in 30.6% of the 369 Mega Millions drawings thus far.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 42nd appearance, and has now played in 37.2% of the 113 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 11.4% of all Mega Millions drawings. Like the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, the [2-2-1-1] General Order was last seen in the April 28th, 2017 drawing.

Our Mega Millions analysis concludes with the seventh appearance of the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has now played in 16.667% of the 42 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order has appeared, 6.19% of the 113 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.90% of all 369 drawings. Prior to Tuesday’s drawing, the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the April 25th, 2017 drawing.

With Cinco de Mayo kicking off the first weekend of May this year, will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern be bold enough to make a fourth appearance?

Doubling Down on the Slow Roll

April has officially come and gone for Mega Millions. There were no sightings of a rare Pattern or a repeating Three-Number Combination. Instead, the night of April 28th was marked by the encore appearances of both the Pattern and the General Order.

Right off the heels of Tuesday’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 112th appearance. The winning numbers were 6, 13, 18, 20, 31, and MB 13.

Winning Mega Millions numbers. From lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has now played in 30.4% of the 368 Mega Millions drawings to date.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order also made an encore appearance. With 41 appearances, this General Order has now played in 36.6% of the 112 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 11.1% of all Mega Millions drawings.

The 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order made its second appearance Friday night, now having played in 4.88% of the 41 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 1.79% of the 112 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.54% of all drawings. The 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the December 17th, 2013 drawing. This was nearly three-and-a-half years ago.

May is on its way, and summer is right around the corner in Lottery Trend country. Will Mega Millions start the month with a {2-2-1-1} three-peat?

April Spring Roll

April is almost over. Easter and Passover have come and gone, and Tax Day is in the rear-view mirror. The unicorn hype has died down (for now?) and summer is right around the corner. To commemorate this occasion, Mega Millions took it easy April 25th, with no repeating Three-Number Combinations or major plays.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 111th appearance, with winning numbers 3, 13, 33, 40, 50, and MB 2.

Winning MegaMillions numbers. From lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 30.2% of the 367 Mega Millions drawings. Prior to Tuesday, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was last seen in the April 14, 2017 drawing.

Next, the [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 40th appearance. This General Order has played in 36.03% of the 111 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When looking at all 367 drawings, the [2-2-1-1] General Order has played 10.9% of the time. Like the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, the [2-2-1-1] General Order was also last seen in the April 14th drawing.

The quiet night concluded with the sixth appearance of the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order. As of Tuesday, this Specific Order has played in 15% of the 40 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 5.41% of the 111 drawing where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern appeared and in 1.63% of all drawings. To see when the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played, we need to look at the July 26th, 2016 drawing, which played exactly nine months prior.

With one more drawing before the month closes out, will Mega Millions see a repeating Three-Number Combination or a rare Pattern?

A Peaceful Good Friday

Happy Easter, Lottery Binge readers! In the last Mega Millions post, there were no major upsets or big plays to be had. The April 14th drawing continued the trend of a quiet evening. Like Tuesday’s drawing, there were no new Specific Orders or rare Patterns. In one respect, Friday’s drawing was even more low-key; there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 110th appearance, with winning numbers 5, 10, 55, 60, 73, and MB 12.

Winning Mega Millions numbers

This Pattern has now played in 30.2% of the 364 Mega Millions drawings to date. Prior to Friday, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was previously seen in the February 17th, 2017 drawing.

Next is the 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order, making its fifth appearance. This Specific Order has now played in 12.8% of the 39 drawings where the [2-2-1-1] General Order appeared, and 4.55% of the 110 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When taking all 364 drawings into account, this statistic becomes 1.37%. To see when the 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order previously played, we need to go back to the June 24th, 2016 drawing, which was nearly 10 months ago.

As we look to the week ahead, will there be new Specific Orders? Will an Australia Play surface?

Jackpot Won by Rare Pattern!

Hello, Lottery Trend fans! Once again, this is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, giving the latest lottery updates! Last night, the jackpot in Lotto Texas had been won. However, a rarely played pattern had made its appearance. And now, the details.

Lotto Texas

Last night, on March 25, 2017, the winning jackpot numbers for Lotto Texas were 21, 25, 27, 30, 36, and 48.

Believe it or not, the rarely played {5-1} Pattern won the day for Lotto Texas when it made its 51st appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 3.56% of all 1432 drawings. The {5-1} Pattern made its last appearance on February 25, 2017, exactly one month ago.

The 0 5 1 Specific Order made its 10th appearance. So far, it has occurred in 19.61% of 51 drawings related to the {5-1} Pattern and approximately 0.7% of all 1432 drawings. The 0 5 1 Specific Order last played on September 28, 2016.

The repeated Four-Number Combination comprised the numbers 25, 27, 36, and 48. The Combination made its debut on January 25, 2014.

Powerball

Last night, on March 25, 2017, the winning numbers for Powerball were 18, 31, 32, 45, 48 and PB 16.

Like the [1-2-2-1] General Order, the 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order last appeared on March 15, 2017.

There were no repeats in Three-Number Combinations.

Wasn’t that a big surprise? The Texas Lotto Jackpot was won thanks to the rarely played {5-1} Pattern. Stay tuned for more surprises! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, signing off.
