One word that best described Saturday night was “Encore!” Both Lotto Texas and Powerball thought it best to stick with what they knew instead of going for unorthodox plays. Well, at least Lotto Texas played it somewhat safe as the jackpot hit $22 million. Although not too wild, Powerball took a page from the Mega Millions playbook and saw the jackpot rise to $158 million.

The {3-2-1} Pattern returned December 17, 2022 with 18, 28, 34, 45, 50 and 51. This Pattern has now played 1109 times.
There have now been 2099 Lotto Texas drawings, and this Pattern has been featured 52.8% of the time. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern was last seen December 14, 2022.
Now with 194 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 17.5% of the 1109 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 2099 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 9.24% of the time. Prior to Saturday night, the 1 2 3 Specific Order played November 12, 2022.

No repeating Four-Number Combinations were present Saturday night.

General Lottery Analysis
Earlier in the week, we saw Mega Millions run amok with a triple encore. This may have been the inspiration for Powerball’s encore playback! First, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. Thanks to winning numbers 33, 56, 64, 66, 68 and PB 12, this Pattern has played 139 times.
This Pattern has now played in 16.9% of the 821 Powerball drawings.
The [1-1-3-1] General Order, now with 53 appearances, has played in 38.1% of the 139 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 821 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 6.46% of the time.
Now with seven appearances, the 0 0 1 1 3 1 Specific Order has played in 13.2% of the 53 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-3-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5.04% of the 139 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.85% of all 821 drawings.
Prior to Saturday night, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-3-1] General Order, and the 0 0 1 1 3 1 Specific Order were last seen December 14, 2022.
Three-Number Combinations
If the playback weren’t enough, Powerball also featured a repeating Three-Number Combination that played twice before! Repeating Three-Number Combination 56, 64 and PB 12 debuted August 10, 2016 and previously played April 25, 2018.
There’s only one week until Christmas, and Lotto Texas and Powerball are fired up! We’ll have to see if they’ll be up to Christmas mischief, or if at least one of them provides a very generous gift.
