The {3-2-1} Pattern Scale-back

The {3-2-1} Pattern was quite the social butterfly this week! Instead of just sticking with Lotto Texas, it thought to pay a visit to both Powerball and Mega Millions. The {3-2-1} Pattern retreated to familiar territory, which not only meant a three-peat in Lotto Texas, but it also meant a jackpot that climbed to $9.5 million. Powerball’s embrace of its most commonly seen Pattern boosted the jackpot there to $180 million.

Mega Millions Remembered the Fifth of November

“Remember, remember, the fifth of November…”

This line comes from a poem regarding the Gunpowder Plot. On November 5, 1605, a fellow by the name of Guy Fawkes led a group of English Catholics in a protest against their persecution. This protest came in the form of an assassination attempt on King James I (that King James I) by blowing up Parliament’s House of Lords. The plot failed and all the conspirators were executed. To celebrate the failed assassination attempt, the English people lit bonfires and set off fireworks, and celebrations continue to this day. You can find more information about Guy Fawkes Day and the Gunpowder Plot here and here.

A Tamer Mega Millions

To say that November 2, 2021 was a quiet night for Mega Millions would be an understatement. This past Friday saw this lottery go wild with repeating Four-Number Combination and its repeating Three-Number Combination spawn (all four of them). Rather than continue with the wildness of repeating Combinations of both the Four and Three-Number kind, Tuesday night was much tamer. In turn, the jackpot quietly increased to $36 million. Considering that November 2nd was All Souls’ Day/Day of the Dead, Mega Millions’ scale-back was fitting.
