Numbers are the first thing many of us think of when we see or hear the word “lottery”, but the combination is the true backbone. While numbers get all the attention, they’re being propped up by combinations. When you dig deeper, there are certain arrangements, combinations if you will, that like to show up in every drawing. To make our analysis even more exciting, some of these combinations will repeat, multiple times in fact.
August 21, 2021 honored the combination. Lotto Texas and Powerball saw outstanding showings of repeating Four-Number and Three-Number Combinations, respectively. Furthermore, the jackpots rose to $12 million in Lotto Texas and $293 million in Powerball.
Lotto Texas
General Lottery Analysis
With winning numbers 1, 20, 23, 27, 34 and 54, the {4-1-1} Pattern made its 207th appearance.
This Pattern has now played in 10.9% of the 1892 Lotto Texas drawings and was last seen July 10, 2021.
Now with 69 appearances, the 1 4 1 Specific Order has played in 33.3% of the 207 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 1892 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 3.65% of the time. The 1 4 1 Specific Order was last seen April 10, 2021.
Four-Number Combinations
A trio of repeating Four-Number Combinations made their rounds:
- 1, 20, 27, 34 (Debuted September 21, 2011)
- 23, 27, 34, 54 (Debuted May 2, 2015)
- 1, 20, 23, 54 (Debuted February 27, 2002 and previously played October 5, 2011)
Powerball
General Lottery Analysis
Powerball liked the {2-2-1-1} Pattern so much that it decided to play it again! The 177th appearance of this Pattern was made possible by 16, 28, 36, 39, 59 and PB 4.
This Pattern has now played in 28.8% of the 614 Powerball drawings.
The {2-2-1-1} Pattern wasn’t the only one Powerball brought back. The [2-2-1-1] General Order, now with 65 appearances, has played in 36.7% of the 177 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 614 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 10.6% of the time.
Both the {2-2-1-1} Pattern and the [2-2-1-1] General Order previously played in the August 18, 2021 drawing.
Now with six appearances, the 0 2 2 0 1 1 Specific Order has played in 9.23% of the 65 drawings where the General Order was [2-2-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 3.39% of the 177 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.98% of all 614 drawings. We last saw the 0 2 2 0 1 1 Specific Order December 22, 2018.
Three-Number Combinations
Repeating Three-Number Combination 39, 59 and PB 4 debuted July 2, 2016.
