Megamillions Still Got It

Salutations, Lotterytrend fans! This is guest blogger Romulun Harris, filling in for Freyja Harris, and giving you the latest updates in Megamillions. Last night was the 19th anniversary of that unexpected and devastating September 11 attack. But Megamillions brought out its secret weapons of defense in the form of a frequently played pattern and combination repeats.

And although the Labor Day holiday along with kids returning to school may have caused the infamous COVID-19 to once again gain momentum, Megamillions has also gained momentum as it continues to stay above the $100 million border by climbing up to $119 million.

Megamillions Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its brave 263rd appearance with 3, 15, 42, 48, 56 and MB 13.

The dominating pattern has now played in 43.76% of all 601 Megamillions drawings and had last appeared on September 8, 2020.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, now in its 59th appearance, has played in 22.43% of the 263 drawings associated with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. With all 601 drawings considered, the General Order has played in 9.82% of the time. Exactly a month before last night, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order played on August 11, 2020.

In its 16th appearance, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 27.12% of the 59 drawings associated with the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order. The Specific Order has also played in 6.08% of the 263 drawings associated with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern and in 2.66% of all 601 drawings. Like the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order was last played on August 11, 2020.

Looks like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made the 601st drawing after all and it will be playing again for many more drawings to come. And as we continue to hope for the pandemic to end, Megamillions hopes to stay in the dominating position with its higher jackpots, but how long will it last? Freyja Harris will return next week to give you the latest updates. This is guest blogger Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

The Ongoing Class Struggle of Lottery Society

Eight months, or close to it. That’s how long it’s been since someone claimed the grand prize in Lotto Texas. A lot sure has happened in eight months. One thing that didn’t change September 9, 2020 was, believe or not, the state of Lotto Texas. Having found itself, it firmly planted roots and continued to grow its jackpot. With no one picking the six numbers, the prize climbed to $40.5 million.

Powerball chuckled. Sure, Lotto Texas’s jackpot grew, but its jackpot did as well. With a jackpot that ascended to $85 million, the gap between the lotteries widened.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Lotto Texas took a great leap with another Australia Play! With winning numbers 5, 11, 21, 35, 40 and 48, both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order have played 243 times.

An Australia Play was present in 13.6% of the 1793 Lotto Texas drawings. It was just last week, September 2, 2020, that we last saw one hop on by.

Two repeating Four-Number Combinations were also spotted on walkabout:

  • 5, 21, 35, 48 (Debuted February 5, 2003)

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

We’ll spare you the Australia puns and tell you right now that an Australia Play was absent in Powerball.

With that said, numbers 27, 52, 55, 60, 64 and PB 21 marked the 144th appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern.

Powerball is closer to $100 million and Lotto Texas is on a jackpot high! Will life for these lotteries continue to be roses and bourbon Saturday night, or will the party end for at least one of them?

Six Hundred Cheers for Mega Millions

The 600th Mega Millions drawing was held September 8, 2020. Six hundred drawings chock full of encores, Pattern streaks, and jackpots that reached the stratosphere. Here’s to 600 more drawings!

Now that we’ve gotten the obligatory congratulations out of the way, it’s time to catch up with the current king of the lottery hill. Perhaps in the spirit of the day after Labor Day being the traditional first day of school, Mega Millions didn’t go for a bombastic celebration. As it put on classy airs, its jackpot crossed the $100 million threshold. More specifically, it climbed to $108 million.

It’s guaranteed that the next 600 drawings will consist of the wonders of Australia Plays and crazy high jackpots. But we must focus on the immediate future. Will the 601st drawing see an encore for the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern?

The Grand Combination Explosion

When lotteries get into lofty positions, they’re (usually) not willing to give them up easily. Lotto Texas has had a taste of the lottery high life. What with its jackpot closer to $40 million than it ever has been in a very long time, it’s has no plans to go down so easily! And even though Powerball is no stranger to being in such a comfortable spot, it too must put up the occasional fight to prove its worth.

When you come for lotteries, you best not miss.

Except, everyone missed September 5, 2020. Both lotteries had the insane idea of lobbing at least one repeating Four-Number Combination. Lotto Texas also threw in a similar spread for good measure. Sure, the country club hall is a mess, but Lotto Texas was pleased as punch upon reaching $39 million. Powerball was content with $75 million and thought there was no way that “uppity” Lotto Texas could catch up.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The uncommonly seen {4-2} Pattern made its 194th appearance, with winning numbers 4, 9, 16, 17, 20 and 35.

Beware of lotteries playing rare Patterns! Source: lotterytrend.com.

This Pattern has now played in 10.8% of the 1792 Lotto Texas drawings and was last seen August 15, 2020.

Now with 43 appearances, the 4 2 0 Specific Order has played in 22.2% of the 194 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern. Once all 1792 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 2.40% of the time. Prior to Saturday night, the 4 2 0 Specific Order played June 6, 2020.

Similar Spread

Saturday night’s numbers had a spread of 05:07:01:03:15. March 18, 2017 had a spread similar to this. That night, the winning numbers were 12, 15, 16, 23, 38 and 43, and their spread was 03:01:07:15:05. Different numbers played both nights but notice that the differences between numbers were the same, although in different orders. A fine specimen of a similar spread, wouldn’t you say?

Four-Number Combinations

Four repeating Four-Number Combinations were invited to the party:

  • 4, 9, 17, 35 (Debuted November 29, 2008)
  • 9, 16, 20, 35 (Debuted March 24, 2001)

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball also decided to play one of its rarer Patterns. With winning numbers 15, 21, 22, 27, 47 and PB 7, the {4-1-1} Pattern made its 15th appearance.

Another rare Pattern! Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Pattern has now played in 2.92% of the 514 Powerball drawings and was last seen May 27, 2020.

The [4-1-1] General Order, now with seven appearances, has played in 46.7% of the 15 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 514 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has also played 1.36% of the time. The [4-1-1] General Order was last seen November 13, 2019.

Now with a grand total of two appearances, the 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 28.6% of the seven drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 13.3% of the 15 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.39% of all 514 drawings. The 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order made its first appearance in the May 16, 2018 drawing.

Four-Number Combination

Powerball’s contribution to the repeating Four-Number Combination pot was 21, 27, 47, and PB 7.

Not so common in Powerball! Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com

This Combination debuted in the July 11, 2018 drawing.

Three-Number Combinations

Of course, that repeating Four-Number Combination had four repeating Three-Number Combinations as part of its entourage:

  • 21, 27, 47
  • 21. 27, PB 7
  • 27, 47, PB 7
  • 21, 47, PB 7

The top three Combinations made their debut in the July 11th drawing mentioned earlier. Although the last Combination in the group played on that date (naturally), its debut was January 27, 2018.

But, wait! There’s one more Combination: 15, 22 and 27 debuted June 24, 2020.

Blue and red abound! Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com

As the days grow shorter, the jackpots grow larger. Lotto Texas isn’t going to go down without a fight, and Powerball is content with the gap between them. Of course, if Powerball isn’t careful, it may find itself looking at Lotto Texas from behind. On the other hand, fate may deal Lotto Texas a bad hand, leaving Powerball to gloat as the “uppity” little lottery from down South has to start all over again at $5 million. What awaits these lotteries in the week ahead?

A Near Playback at the Edge of $100 Million

Yet another holiday weekend is upon us. Labor Day is traditionally the last holiday of the summer season. Time to squeeze in that last beach party and have that blowout barbeque! Problem is, there’s a pandemic, and being stuck in a large crowd, intentionally or no, is not a bright idea.

Why not try for Mega Millions instead? If you’ve always dreamed of owning your own island, the winnings in that lottery should help you get started! Well sir (or ma’am), if you had tried your hand at this lottery September 4, 2020, you’re just going to have to keep dreaming.

Mega Millions was one step closer to joining the $100 million club. With no grand prize winners, the jackpot rose to $97 million. There were no tricks, nothing special that needed to be done. All it took was playing a rarely seen Pattern.

General Lottery Analysis

The 16th appearance of the {4-1-1} Pattern was made possible by 19, 22, 24, 28, 53 and MB 25.

The 0 4 0 1 0 1 Specific Order made its first appearance February 20, 2018.

Will the Mega Millions jackpot exceed $100 million Tuesday, or will it be knocked off its throne?

Lottery Euphoria

September 2, 2020 was a win for lottery high society.

The euphoria was strong in Lotto Texas. So strong, in fact, that it didn’t notice the mob of players on the country club grounds, just itching to take it down. Their efforts failed, and the winnings climbed to $37.5 million. Ah well, they thought. Let’s try for Powerball.

Except, the mob had been escorted off the premises before they could go for Powerball. As it, too, saw no grand prize winners, the jackpot rose to $66 million.

Mega Millions’ September Scorcher

When the thermometer still reads in the 90s (Fahrenheit), it’s hard to believe autumn is around the corner! Relief from the heat will (or should; it is 2020 after all) come, for some sooner than others. Autumn lovers will have to hold out for a bit longer.

It got heated in the lottery world as well. Mega Millions retained its position at the top of lottery high society once again. With no one picking the six winning numbers, the prize ascended to $88 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The joint {2-2-1-1} Pattern and [2-2-1-1] General Order three-peat did not come to fruition in the September 1, 2020 drawing. Instead, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern was offered, with winning numbers 15, 25, 26, 38, 47 and MB 22. This Pattern has now played 112 times.
