Windin’ ‘er Down

Mega Millions had the honor of signing off 2019 and it had the honor of bidding January farewell this past Friday night. Instead of a night filled with wild plays or even a Pattern encore, it was one of the quietest nights Mega Millions has had in a while. Maybe the pressure of leading into the kickoff of Super Bowl Weekend got to it?

Regardless of the lottery’s feelings on the matter, Friday night was proof that the quietest nights can lead to the biggest disappointments. At least, for all those seeking a quick escape hatch from the rat race. Naturally, the prize rose once again, stopping at $168 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Now with eight appearances, the 0 1 2 0 2 1 Specific Order has played in 15.4% of the 52 drawings where the General Order was [1-2-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5.41% of the 148 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.49% of all 537 drawings. We last saw the 0 1 2 0 2 1 Specific Order in the December 27, 2019 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The lack of repeating Three-Number Combinations was a key ingredient to a quiet night.

Mega Millions will be starting off February with a robust jackpot up for grabs. Will Tuesday’s drawing have those wild and crazy plays, or will it be another quiet night?
