If there’s one sage piece of our childhoods we should remember, it’s “Never judge a book by its cover.” Lotto Texas and Powerball are as opposite as you can get with lotteries. One is more inclined to have monster jackpots while the other takes a more “respectable” approach to the madness. Lotto Texas leapt upwards to $15 million and Powerball climbed to $84 million.

Our analysis showed that April 6^th was a night that the lotteries had something else in common.

With winning numbers 1, 8, 20, 35, 51, and 52, both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order made their 227^th appearance!

Of the 1644 Lotto Texas drawings so far, the Australia Play has occurred 13.8% of the time. We last saw one in the March 27^th, 2019 drawing.

Four-Number Combinations

Alongside the Australia Play was lone repeating Four-Number Combination 8, 20, 51, and 52.

This Combination debuted April 5^th, 2017.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 132^nd appearance with winning numbers 15, 33, 43, 59, 60, and PB 8.

Given that there have been 366 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 36.1% of the time. Like our dear Australia Play in Lotto Texas, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was last seen March 27^th, 2019.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, now with 38 appearances, has played in roughly 28.8% of the 132 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 10.4% of all 366 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order played January 12^th, 2019.

Now with nine appearances, the 0 1 1 1 2 1 Specific Order has played in 23.7% of the 38 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in roughly 6.82% of the 132 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 366 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 2.46% of the time. We last saw the 0 1 1 1 2 1 Specific Order in the August 29^th, 2018 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There were two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

• 15, 59, 60 (Debuted September 5^th, 2018)
• 15, 43, 60 (Debuted August 16^th, 2017)

Both lotteries appear to be bounding along to large jackpots. Going into Wednesday’s drawing, we’ll need to keep an eye out for a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore or at least one of those prizes growing once again. Could the Pattern playdates be joined at the hip once more?
