After the Earth-shattering results of the U.S. election and the rumblings in Mega Millions, we entered calmer waters on November 9th. That is, if seeing repeating Four-Number Combinations, one of which hadn’t been seen since last decade, could be considered calm.
Lotto Texas
For starters, Lotto Texas saw the not-so-common {3-3} Pattern make its 117th appearance. Wednesday’s winning numbers were 2, 9, 18, 42, 51, and 52.

The {3-3} Pattern has played in 8.40% of the 1393 drawings that have taken place so far. This Pattern was last seen a few weeks ago in the October 22nd, 2016 drawing.
The Specific Order of the evening was 3 0 3, making its 40th appearance. Out of the 117 times the {3-3} Pattern has played, the 3 0 3 Specific Order has played 34.2% of the time. When taking all 1393 drawings into account, this frequency whittles down to 2.87%. We last saw this Specific Order in the August 10th, 2016 drawing.
One highlight of the evening was the repeat occurrence of the following Four-Number Combinations:
- 2, 9, 42, and 52, which first played way back on January 25th, 2003
- 18, 42, 51, and 52, which first played March 5th, 2014 and
- 2, 18, 51, and 52, which first played August 25th, 2010.

Powerball
What we saw in Powerball could end up putting the kibosh on the Powerball Pattern Tango, at least for the time being. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, having previously played in Saturday’s drawing, made an encore appearance. Now coming in with 41 appearances, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern holds on to its title as Most Commonly Played Powerball Pattern. This encore was thanks to winning numbers 1, 25, 28, 31, 54, and PB 2.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared in 35.7% of the 115 Powerball drawings.
The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order made it is ninth appearance, its first since the October 5th, 2016 drawing. Of the 41 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has played 22% of the time. When taking all 115 drawings into account, this Pattern has played 7.83% of the time.
Finally, we come to the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order, which made its second appearance. In the 9 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order appeared, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played 22.2% of the time. This becomes 4.88% when looking at the 41 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern appeared, and 1.74% of all 115 drawings. The 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the April 16th, 2016 drawing.
Will the {3-3} Pattern be bold enough to make an encore appearance in Lotto Texas Saturday? Has the Powerball Pattern Tango finally come to an end?
