Mega Millions’ Right to a Near Playback

The human world is a messy place. Things aren’t always what they seem, and nothing can ever be taken for granted. Although lotteries have their fancies and like to play tricks on players from time to time, they have no pretenses. In the lottery world, indeed the number world, what you see is what you get. Numbers don’t lie. There is a method to their madness, and Mega Millions’ madness was on display June 24, 2022.

No {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore was in the cards, and an Australia Play? Forget about it! However, in a prime display of “Almost doesn’t count”, we were graced with the presence of a “near” playback. Of course, that jackpot didn’t care one way or the other, for that “near” playback sent the jackpot to an astonishing $328 million!

Will the Mega Millions jackpot continue to soar as summer kicks into full gear?

Bounding into Summer

Summer isn’t just about hot temperatures and beating the heat. Summer’s a time for travel, a time for adventure, and a time for repeats.

“Repeats?” you ask.

For as long as television has been around, summer has been a time where repeats dominated the airwaves. Broadcast or cable, it mattered not. If you turned on the TV, chances are it was on an episode you had seen a bajillion times. No harm in watching it a bajillion and one times, right?

Now, repeats in and of themselves aren’t necessarily a bad thing. They certainly aren’t for lotteries! After all, if you miss something the first time, you won’t miss it again, right?

Except, if you played Lotto Texas this past Monday and played again Wednesday night, you likely missed the Australia Play again. But don’t worry! The jackpot grew to $7.25 million, certainly not small change! Powerball didn’t see an encore, but it saw its jackpot shoot up to $335 million.

Mega Millions: Dawn of a New Summer

And so, it has come. After weeks of brutal heat, summer is officially here! Yet, you can’t help but get the feeling that the summers may be hotter than they were when you were a kid. Oh well, nothing like a dip in the pool or tubing down river can’t fix, right? Or, how about some Mega Millions? That’ll help take your mind off the humidity and give you an endless summer, of sorts. Thing is, you’re going to need both persistence and patience.

As the temperatures stayed high, Mega Millions cooled down. An encore for the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern didn’t materialize, but the jackpot rose all the same. In fact, it shot up well past the $300 million mark, stopping at $312 million when all was said and done.

Looks like the summer season’s begun with a few surprises for the Lottery World: an Australia Play in Lotto Texas, and an incrementing jackpot along with a Three-Number Combination appearing for the third time in Powerball. We can definitely expect more surprises to come. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe and Happy Summer!

Streaking and Hopping Out of Spring

Well, folks, it’s almost here! After weeks of unrelenting heat, early sunrises and late sunsets, the calendar and the temperatures are about to align. In just a few days, spring will give way to summer. This year, Lotto Texas and Powerball will be the ones to see spring off. If the results from Saturday night are an indicator of things to come, then Monday’s spring finale will be a big one! But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

June 18, 2022 was great news for fans of the {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas. That Pattern solidified its streak and helped boost the jackpot to $6.75 million. Although Powerball didn’t see a Pattern streak, let alone a Pattern encore, an Australia Play was plenty enough to send the crazy-high jackpot even higher to $296 million.

Will the jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball continue to go up like the temperatures?

A Common Pattern Turns Up the Heat

Even though the calendar says summer is a few days away, it’s already here! Even though a good chunk of June technically falls under spring in the Northern Hemisphere, the temperatures have been more like we’d expect in July or even August. Rain showers cool everything down for a bit, but in some places, those have been in short supply. Like June 2022, Mega Millions hasn’t cooled down, either.

In fact, the heat got turned up Friday night. Thanks to a very common Pattern, the Mega Millions jackpot swelled to $290 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The featured Pattern for June 17, 2022 was {2-1-1-1-1}. With winning numbers 20, 36, 53, 56, 69 and MB 16, this Pattern has now played 335 times.

Two Different Approaches. One Common Goal

Lotto Texas and Powerball are an odd couple indeed! The former often takes a quieter approach while the latter tends to be more adventurous. Even though they’re opposites, they have one common goal: making it difficult for the players to nab jackpots.

Their different approaches were on full display June 15, 2022. Lotto Texas, ever graceful, employed a Pattern three-peat to boost its jackpot to $6.5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s craving for repeating Three-Number Combinations sent the jackpot to $279 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Rather than go for a {3-1-1-1} Pattern three-peat, Mega Millions decided to go with the uncommonly seen {4-1-1} Pattern. With winning numbers 30, 37, 38, 42, 58 and MB 22, this Pattern has played 17 times.

The Quiet and Effective Lottery Double Strike

One thing both Lotto Texas and Powerball excel at is grabbing attention. Between Pattern streaks and monstrously large jackpots, these lotteries are difficult to ignore! Even though they’re masters of grandstanding, Powerball more so, they also excel in the art of subtlety.

There was no grandstanding to be had June 11, 2022. In fact, the big event in both lotteries this past Saturday night was their rising jackpots. Lotto Texas, no stranger to subtlety, saw the jackpot grow to $6 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s mighty jackpot grew to an even mightier $243 million.
