Mega Millions Laboring in Holiday Mode

So, it has come at last. With the arrival of Labor Day weekend, summer is (un)officially over. No need to belabor the situation. Get in that visit to the beach or dip in the pool before it gets too cold to do so. If neither the beach nor the pool are your thing, try taking a shot at Mega Millions! Be warned, though, that lotteries are also prone to relaxing in their own way.

Mega Millions kicked off the Labor Day weekend by avoiding a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern three-peat. There wasn’t a whiff of a playback, either. Still, there was enough to push the jackpot to $191 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The September 2, 2022 drawing featured the 222nd appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern with winning numbers 39, 40, 52, 60, 67 and MB 20.

Is a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore in store for Tuesday night, or will Mega Millions feature another Pattern?

One Pattern to Rule

One Pattern reigned Wednesday night. By “one Pattern”, we really do mean one Pattern. Although it tends to favor one lottery far more, it has been known to grace the others with its presence. What happens when this Pattern shows up in two lotteries on the same night? You get a night like August 31, 2022.

The {3-2-1} Pattern was sighted in both Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday night. Such an occurrence didn’t lend itself to a quiet night in the least! For starters, both jackpots grew to $15.25 million and $148 million, respectively.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern liked Lotto Texas so much that it decided to stick around for another night. This Pattern’s encore was made possible by 1, 15, 18, 32, 37 and 38, making for its 1084th appearance.

There have now been 2053 Lotto Texas drawings, and this Pattern has played 52.8% of the time. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern was last seen August 29, 2022.

No with 200 appearances, the 3 1 2 Specific Order has played in 18.5% of the 1084 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 2053 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 9.74% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, the 3 1 2 Specific Order played August 17, 2022.

Both the {3-2-1} Pattern and the [2-3-1] General Order were last seen May 18, 2022.

Now with five appearances, the 2 3 0 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 21.7% of the 23 drawings where the General Order was [2-3-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 10.4% of the 48 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.65% of all 775 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, the 2 3 0 0 0 1 Specific Order played January 23, 2021.

Three-Number Combinations

No repeating Three-Number Combinations were present during the Powerball visit.

Will the {3-2-1} Pattern continue to grace Lotto Texas and Powerball with its presence, or will these lotteries pledge their loyalty, however fleeting, to another Pattern?

Mega Millions’ August Bookends

Things came full circle for Mega Millions Tuesday night. Pattern-wise, August ended the way it started. Mild spoiler: The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played. Sticking by a common Pattern boosted this jackpot to $169 million. Of course, with this being Mega Millions, there was more to Tuesday’s drawing than “just” a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern showing up!

General Lottery Analysis

More than just a bookend, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern of August 30, 2022 was also an encore. With winning numbers 2, 38, 55, 57, 65 and MB 17, this Pattern has now played 343 times.

Prior to Tuesday night, both the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order and the 1 0 1 1 2 1 Specific Order played July 29, 2022.

Will Mega Millions kick off the weekend with a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern three-peat, a playback, or something completely different?

Clash of the Frequently Played Patterns

Greetings, Lotterytrend fans! Romulun Harris here. Last night in the Lottery District on August 29, 2022, Lotto Texas and Powerball’s respectively played {3-2-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns had a battle royale to see which could produce the most Combination Repeats.

In addition, Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has had its own little streak going on since August 24, 2022. Lotto Texas experienced a little streak since the same day as well, but it wasn’t from the {3-2-1} Pattern. If I were to say that the Lottery World had surprise visits from kangaroos on August 24 and August 27, 2022, you could possibly guess what pattern I’m talking about. And of course, this gave the {3-2-1} Pattern enough determination to get back up.

And now, the details.

Saturday Nights Were Made for Encores

Let’s be honest: Summer’s over. Yeah, the calendar says summer ends in September, but really. Most students are already back in school or well on their way. Adults? Unless they’re making money in their sleep hands over fist, summer is a distant memory. There is, however, a sanctuary known as “the weekend”. The weekend is a time to destress, a time to cut loose, and for the adults, a time to go for the big money prizes. Yet, those prizes have a way of giving players the slip. Sometimes, it’s thanks to a Pattern that played the last time.

August 27, 2022 was a night for encore lovers. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw not only encores but rising jackpots as well. The Lotto Texas jackpot climbed to $14 million, and the Powerball jackpot climbed to $124 million.

Earlier this week, Mega Millions was taking a rest. You wouldn’t think it but repeating Three-Number Combinations can have a way of zapping this lottery (and Powerball) of energy. Anyway, Mega Millions was able to get at least one repeating Three-Number Combination in Friday night. More importantly, the jackpot climbed to $153 million.

Is Mega Millions slowly building up to a grand August finale?

August Australia (Play) Affinity

Something’s been up with Lotto Texas and Powerball lately. Well, more than usual. There aren’t any monstrous sized jackpots on the horizon, so what’s going on with these two? Australia Plays, that’s what!

As August started winding down, the Australia Play started popping up more. Last weekend, Lotto Texas had a go with one, and Powerball saw one earlier this week. What with it still being August and all, August 24, 2022 was another good night for at least one Australia Play. As the jackpot grew to $13.75 million in Lotto Texas and $115 million in Powerball, was it Powerball that saw an Australia Play encore, or Lotto Texas that couldn’t survive long enough without featuring another one?

Which lottery will feature an Australia Play Saturday night?

From a Gush to a Trickle

Mega Millions was an energetic one last week. From playing an uncommonly seen Pattern to blasting us with repeating Three-Number Combinations, this lottery went here, there, and everywhere! Even when things were taken down a notch Friday night, there was much energy buzzing in the air. August 23, 2022 was another story.

The scale-back that began a few nights ago came to a head Tuesday night. Yet, the jackpot held strong. In fact, it climbed to $135 million.

Is Friday night going to be another round of mellowness, or will Mega Millions ratch it up to kick off the weekend?

3…2…1….Crikey!

Greetings, Lotterytrend fans. Romulun Harris here! Last night on August 22, 2022, Lotto Texas’s frequently played {3-2-1} Pattern, after yet another streak broke on August 20, 2022, started over again. Whoa! This pattern’s been on a roller coaster ride since the beginning of this month. And if that weren’t exciting enough, Powerball also experienced an Australia Play. And here are the details to explain this phenomenon.

That was something, huh? Lotto Texas’s frequently played {3-2-1} Pattern trying again to start another streak and Powerball experiencing an Australia Play. However, special mention goes to Lotto Texas’s {3-2-1} because of the way it keeps trying to restart its streaks after they’ve been broken. That goes to show that those who fall down get back up. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

The August Saturday Night Chill

“Chill” seems like an odd choice of words. Last we checked the calendar, we’re still in the throes of summer. Although yes, that is true in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s the opposite below the Equator. A last-minute getaway to Australia or Tierra del Fuego doesn’t come easy, not unless you’ve got a hefty bank account, anyhow. That’s where Lotto Texas and Powerball (and Mega Millions, but that’s another story) come in. The catch, and there’s always a catch, is that these lotteries’ plans don’t always line up with those of the players.

As another round of summer heat took hold, one lottery took a trip Down Under, so to speak. That, combined with more laid-back approaches, boosted the jackpots to $12.25 million for Lotto Texas, and $90 million for Powerball.
