The Playback Heard ‘Round the World

Well, folks, they finally happened, and yes, we meant “they”! Mega Millions kicked off the weekend with another round of “combinationing”. While out and about, this lottery featured a playback that wasn’t produced by an Australia Play and had its jackpot brought down by not one but two players! After that wild night, the prize was reset to $20 million.

General Lottery Analysis

October 14, 2022 was wild thanks to the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. With winning numbers 9, 22, 26, 41, 44 and MB 19, this Pattern made its 347th appearance.

Much ado about something! Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order, now with 80 appearances, has played in 23.1% of the 347 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 819 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has now played 9.77% of the time.

Four-Number Combination

On Mega Millions’ Friday night “combinationing” adventure, a repeating Four-Number Combination came on board! That Combination, 9, 22, 41 and MB 19, debuted June 8, 2021.

Three-Number Combinations

Naturally, that repeating Four-Number Combination had four repeating Three-Number Combinations bundled inside. Naturally those Combinations debuted in the same June 8th drawing:

  • 9, 22, 41
  • 9, 22, MB 19
  • 22, 41, MB 19
  • 9, 41, MB 19

Those weren’t the only repeating Three-Number Combinations. Repeating Three-Number Combination 22, 26 and 44 debuted June 16, 2017.

With the jackpot having been brought back down to earth, things will be cooling down in Mega Millions for a bit. How much this lottery will cool down in the week ahead is anyone’s guess. There doesn’t need to be a massive jackpot for a lottery to cause a ruckus!

Remember, Remember, the Fifth of…October

In the lottery world, things come and go, but they’re never really forgotten. Whether it was nine years ago or just last week, Patterns and even repeating Combinations have a way of coming back.

October 5th may have only been a week ago, but Lotto Texas and Powerball already felt the nostalgia pangs. Wednesday night was like the previous Wednesday’s in more ways than one. That rush of nostalgia did nothing to slow the jackpots from growing to $7.75 million and $454 million!

Saturday night has been a big night for both Lotto Texas and Powerball these days! How big will these lotteries go? Are Pattern encores in store, or will these lotteries have something else in mind?

Mega Millions’ “Combinationing” Foray

The act of “combinationing” is more than just a lottery having a night out. There are many, emphasis on many, repeating Combinations to be had. A Tuesday night can be just as good a night for Mega Millions to go “combinationing” as a Friday night. Better, even!

October 11, 2022 was a wild night for sure. As Mega Millions hit the Combination scene, a jackpot continued its growth spurt. The behemoth grew ever larger, towering at $494 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Mega Millions didn’t bother with a playback, let alone an Australia Play. Instead, it was time to give attention to a Pattern that doesn’t get much play: the {4-1-1} Pattern! With winning numbers 3, 7, 11, 13, 38 and MB 1, this Pattern made its 18th appearance.

These six numbers, I tell ya! Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has now played in 2.20% of the 818 Mega Millions drawings.

The [4-1-1] General Order, now with 10 appearances, has played in 55.6% of the 18 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 818 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 1.22% of the time.

Both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the [4-1-1] General Order were last seen June 14, 2022.

A playback wasn’t meant to be, obviously, but what say you to the debut of a Specific Order? More specifically, the 4 0 1 0 0 1 Specific Order? Naturally, this Specific Order has played in 10% of the 10 drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5.56% of the 18 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.12% of all 818 drawings.

A Swift Return to the Combination Scene

Earlier this week, Lotto Texas and Powerball took a break from the repeating Combinations. They were able to boost their jackpots just as effectively without them. Then, Saturday night happened. That mid-week rest was enough to give Lotto Texas and Powerball the energy to go wild with repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations! Additionally, their respective jackpots climbed to $7.25 million and $401 million.

Mega Millions’ Not Quite Playback

For Mega Millions, a playback happens when the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order share a date when they last played. One notable example of a playback is the Australia Play. The {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order always play together. What about playbacks that are not Australia Plays? These are harder to come by, but that doesn’t stop Mega Millions from thinking about them!

October 7, 2022 was a night where a playback seemed like a good idea, but Mega Millions couldn’t fully commit to one. Lovers of massive jackpots will be pleased to know that lack of a playback didn’t stop the prize from growing to $445 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Both the {2-2-1-1} Pattern and the [2-2-1-1] General Order previously played September 30, 2022.

Now with nine appearances, the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order played in 11.7% of the 77 drawings where the General Order was [2-2-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 3.96% of the 227 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.10% of all 817 drawings. Prior to Friday night, the 2 0 2 1 0 1 Specific Order played May 29, 2020.

Repeating Three-Number Combination 11, 29 and 36 debuted October 31, 2014.

Is a playback that isn’t an Australia Play in store for Mega Millions Tuesday night, or will this lottery have other plans?

The Other Side of the Lottery Social Scene

The past few Lotto Texas and Powerball nights have been events in and of themselves! Lotto Texas, of all lotteries, took over the Combination scene Saturday night with a repeating Five-Number Combination. Then, there was the Australia Play featured this past Monday. After two big nights, Lotto Texas would lead the charge into a wild Wednesday, right?

Rather than being a wild night, October 5, 2022 was mild, all right. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball took it easy, but that didn’t prevent their jackpots from growing. Lotto Texas pushed onward to $7 million, and the behemoth of a jackpot in Powerball grew to $378 million.

Three-Number Combinations

Repeating Three-Number Combinations didn’t even begin to cross Powerball’s mind.

With another mid-week come and gone, we’re all wondering if Lotto Texas and Powerball are resting up for an eventful Saturday night, or if they’re going to take a more relaxed approach.

The Small and the Mighty

What may be popular in one lottery may not be popular in another. Take the {3-2-1} Pattern for instance. This Pattern rules Lotto Texas, but that’s not so for Mega Millions. In fact, this Pattern is one of the least played over there. However, when the {3-2-1} Pattern does get a chance to play, it leaves a lasting impression!

A lasting impression was certainly made Tuesday night, with the jackpot rising to $410 million, and much more.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern of October 4, 2022 was thanks to 15, 18, 25, 33, 38 and MB 25. This Pattern has now played 48 times.

Kangaroos and Wombats

G’day, Lotterytrend fans! Romulun Harris here! Last night on October 3, 2022, Lotto Texas got hopping with an Australia Play while Powerball’s frequently played {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern rode in its pouch. We can definitely expect another Australia Play to happen sometime soon, but how far will Powerball’s jackpot go? This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

The Saturday Night Combination Scene

As people are busy living it up on Saturday nights, Lotto Texas and Powerball go about “combinationing”. The act of “combinationing” involves presenting repeating Three or Four-Number Combinations to the world. As of late, Saturday nights have been a boon for the Combination scene, and the October 1, 2022 scene was poppin’!

Both lotteries got in on the combination scene Saturday night. Would you believe that it was Lotto Texas that had the biggest display? This was in addition to a Pattern encore that pushed the jackpot to $6.5 million. Powerball was no slouch, either. A lack of a Pattern encore was no deterrent for the jackpot rising to $336 million.

Five Number Combination

The real reason for Lotto Texas’s grand Combination display was the appearance of a repeating Five-Number Combination. The Combination 14, 19, 20, 32 and 52 debuted February 21, 2022. That was seven months ago!
