The Friday Night Scale-Back

What a week it has been! More students returning to class, Mega Millions seeing eight repeating Three-Number Combinations, truly this calls for a celebration! No need for a grand bonanza, though. A celebration can be as simple as taking it easy, grateful that you made it through another week and enjoying the finer things. Or, if you’re a lottery, you celebrate the end of the week by taking things down a notch.

Mega Millions, pardon the cliché, flipped the script Friday night. This lottery took to playing a more common Pattern and overall scaled things back. Nonetheless, the jackpot grew to a sturdy $116 million.

Patterns often play once, then go away for a bit before showing up again. Thus is the way of lotteries. Of course, there are times when a Pattern decides to stick around for a bit. Mega Millions Comes Full Circle

Mid-August appears to be the new “Day after Labor Day”. That is, many school districts have it in their minds to start school in the middle of August, sooner even. It’s Friday night. You’ve completed another work week, and the kids survived their first week back in school. How to celebrate? Going out to dinner and/or a movie is a thing again, and then y’all can swing by Dave and Buster’s for a while. What? You’re not going out?
