Two months have passed since Mega Millions saw a winner. Since then, only one thing has been consistent: a rising jackpot! April 23, 2021 was yet another night that didn’t produce a grand prize winner. The silver lining, of course, was a jackpot that grew to $297 million.

Is the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern setting itself up for a potential three-peat to end April?

The Mega Millions Springtime Spread

The phrase that best defined the night of April 20, 2021 for Mega Millions was, “Onward and Upward”. This lottery decided not to hang out with either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {3-2-1} Patterns, as it had been of late. As it went looking for another Pattern to pal around with, a similar spread got picked up along the way. That, and the jackpot rose to $277 million.

Will Mega Millions continue to hang out with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern Friday night?

From One Pattern to Another: Mega Millions Edition

The second of two posts tonight.

Mega Millions couldn’t make up its mind about the Pattern. A week ago, it embraced the {3-2-1} Pattern. In the previous drawing, that was ditched for the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Guess which of these Patterns Mega Millions went for in the April 16, 2021 drawing?

The consistency in Friday night’s drawing lied with the jackpot. None of the players were able to match all six numbers. Naturally, the prize rose to $257 million. The jackpot had been on the rise since February.

Mega Millions’ Reduction Plan

The April 6, 2021 Mega Millions drawing saw a massive reduction in repeating Three-Number Combinations. As that was going on, the jackpot crossed the $200 million threshold. More specifically, the prize had increased to $201 million.

Mega Millions’ New Trick

In our last Mega Millions post, we covered how four repeating Three-Number Combinations popped up independently of a repeating Four-Number Combination. On April 2, 2021, it happened again! The question is, which made that, and a jackpot shooting up to $184 million, possible?
