Hot Wednesday

Contrasts! That’s been the theme of the month so far. Mega Millions has been much calmer as of late, with Lotto Texas and Powerball tag-teaming as they spice things up. These lotteries joined forces once again on April 11th. They helped us escape the mid-week doldrums with an Australia Play and  repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations.

Will Lotto Texas and Powerball continue to keep things heated for Saturday night?

Winter Comeback

Apparently, in some parts of Lottery Trend Country, and our northern neighbor, winter has yet to die. For those of us snapping pictures of loved ones in fields of bluebonnets, snow on the ground in April seems so…alien. Since we here at Lottery Binge have no bluebonnet photos of our own to share, we’re going to talk about another flower. A flower that doesn’t need water or soil. Just a hearty dose of analysis.

For starters, the April 3rd Mega Millions drawing didn’t see an Australia Play encore. That certainly would’ve warmed things up! Instead, to celebrate the theme of winter’s, pardon the lame pun, icy hold, Tuesday night’s Pattern was a visit to winters past.

General Lottery Analysis

The Big 800

What a night! Lotto Texas reigned supreme March 24th with the {3-2-1} Pattern. All the myriad ways in which this was achieved will be revealed shortly. After all, we can’t forget about Powerball! There were rumblings of a playback there. Although one never materialized, we got another surprise.

Time for a Break

Spring Break is in full swing in the Houston area! The weather has been nice, with mild temperatures and sunny days. It’s news like this that remind us down in these parts that it’s (technically) still winter. March 13th saw the start of March Madness and Mega Millions did a complete 180 from what we saw last time.

Play That Back

Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of playing on February 28th. The month ended with one word: “playback”. In fact, our February analysis for Lotto Texas and Powerball kicked off with not one playback, but two. Which lottery, or lotteries, ended the month the way it started?

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 1, 5, 18, 39, 45, and 52, bringing the number of appearances of the {3-3} Pattern up to 129.

Before moving on to the repeating Four-Number Combination(s) coverage, we would like to point out the Specific Order. Note that even though Lotto Texas saw a playback, it did not see an Australia Play. The 3 0 3 Specific Order was not the only one that could have played.

The 2nd Back for Seconds

Mega Millions has a history with the Olympics. It was during the Rio Olympics in 2016 that we saw a Pattern make six consecutive appearances. As the Winter Olympics begin to wrap up, Mega Millions wanted to reminisce. In fact, February 23rd’s drawing saw shades of an earlier time.

Will Mega Millions end the month with a {3-1-1-1} encore, or will another Pattern appear?

A Pattern’s Icy Grip

In the nearly two years Lottery Binge has been online, one of our favorite things to cover is the Pattern streak. These occur when a Pattern has played at least three consecutive times. Three or four consecutive appearances seems to be the norm, but there have been cases of five or even six appearances.

Although the biggest ones we’ve covered occurred during the summers of 2016 and 2017, February 21st reminded us that these streaks can happen at any time.

Will Powerball and Lotto Texas keep up the momentum Saturday, or will things start to mellow out?

Joined by January

It seems that January, although officially over, is far from done. Our last post on Lotto Texas and Powerball covered how both saw a playback. Fun fact: the original dates for both were sometime in January. And, January continued its grip on the lotteries Wednesday night. We didn’t see any playbacks, but Lotto Texas and Powerball had something in common.
