Encore at the Halfway Point

November 15th was an important day. It marked the halfway point of the month, and a reminder that (U.S.) Thanksgiving is right around the corner. To all you U.S. readers, don’t panic! You’ve got about a week left to make plans. Lottery-wise, Lotto Texas had all the fun.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of Saturday’s drawing, the {4-1-1} Pattern made an encore. This time around, the winning numbers were 2, 5, 8, 18, 32, and 37.

With 165 appearances to date, this Pattern has now played in 4.34% of the 1499 Lotto Texas drawings.

Now with 54 appearances, the 4 1 1 Specific Order has played in 32.7% of the 165 drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared. Given that there have been 1499 drawings, this Specific Order has played in 3.60% of them. Prior to Wednesday night, it was last seen in the October 11th, 2017 drawing.

Four-Number Combination(s)

There was a repeating Four-Number Combination nestled in these numbers. The Combination this time was 5, 8, 32, and 37.

And out of that encore came a repeating Four-Number Combination. Source: lotterytrend.com.

It was nearly four years ago when this Combination made its debut. More specifically, it was the December 11th, 2013 drawing.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball saw no such Pattern encore. Instead, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 42nd appearance, with winning numbers 23, 32, 44, 48, 50, and PB 25.

This Pattern has now played in 19% of the 221 Powerball drawings, and it was last seen on October 11th, 2017.

Making its 19th appearance was the [1-1-3-1] General Order, which has now played in 45.2% of the 42 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in roughly 8.6% of the 221 drawings. We last saw the [1-1-3-1] General Order in the October 7th, 2017 drawing.

The 0 1 1 3 0 1 Specific Order made its second appearance. It has now played in 10.5% of the 19 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 4.76% of the 42 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.90% of all 221 drawings. The 0 1 1 3 0 1 Specific Order made its debut this past summer, in the July 1st, 2017 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The repeating Three-Number Combination lull continued Wednesday night.

Will the {4-1-1-1} Pattern go for a three-peat on Saturday? Will Powerball see a repeating Three-Number Combination?

November Oldies

Even after the introduction of a new system, some oldies showed up. No, nothing dating before this decade appeared. That’s more Lotto Texas territory, anyway. But, there were a couple of eyebrow-raising developments in the November 7th Mega Millions drawing.

General Lottery Analysis

Tuesday night’s winning numbers were 1, 54, 60, 68, 69, and MB 11. This marked the 61st appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern.

The power of six. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

With 304 drawings to date (Remember, a new system went into effect last week), this Pattern has played 20.1% of the time. We last saw the {3-1-1-1} Pattern on October 17th, 2017. This was reconfigured from the {2-2-1-1} Pattern seen that night.

Now with 15 appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 24.6% of the 61 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. And, it has now played in 4.93% of all 304 drawings. The [1-1-3-1] General Order was basking in the summer sun the last time it appeared. More specifically, the July 22nd, 2016 drawing.  We reconfigured this from the [1-4-1] General Order seen that night.

Speaking of specifics, the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order made its fourth appearance Tuesday night. This puts it at 26.7% of the 15 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared. When looking at the 61 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, this Specific Order has played 6.56% of the time. Finally, it has played in all 304 drawings. It’s been a while since anyone last saw the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order. It previously played in the November 14th, 2014 drawing. Can you believe that it’s been almost three years?

Three Number Combination(s)

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations Tuesday night.

Will there be a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore or more “oldies” in Friday night’s drawing?

Breaking the Streak

October 20th saw the {2-2-1-1} Pattern streak come to an end. However, Mega Millions wasn’t completely quiet Friday night. There was a Specific Order that hasn’t played in over three years. What Pattern would be so bold to break the streak?

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern was that bold Pattern. With winning numbers 6, 23, 63, 66, 73, and MB 9, this Pattern has played 71 times.

The numbers that stopped a four-peat. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have been 418 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played in about 17% of them. Prior to Friday night, we last saw the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in the October 6th, 2017 drawing.

With 27 appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 38% of the 71 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 6.46% of all 418 drawings. The [1-1-3-1] General Order had previously played in the September 29th, 2017 drawing.

And now for the “Specific Order that hadn’t played in years”. The 1 1 0 0 3 1 Specific Order made its third appearance. Of the 27 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order appeared, this Specific Order has played in 11.1% of them. We’ve also seen this Specific Order in 4.23% of the 71 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, and in 0.72% of all 418 drawings. This Specific Order was last seen in the August 8th, 2014 Mega Millions drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

It’s tempting to think that these numbers would also produce at least one repeating Three-Number Combination. There weren’t any this past Friday.

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern make an encore in Tuesday’s drawing? Will next week see another Specific Order that hadn’t played in years?

Playback & Encore

After a Four-Number Combination appeared in Powerball this past weekend, anything right after would pale in comparison, right? Even though the night of October 11th wasn’t as explosive, there were still some big plays. The {3-2-1} Pattern streak was shattered in Lotto Texas. Meanwhile, Powerball saw a Pattern encore. And then some.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {4-1-1} Pattern pushed the {3-2-1} Pattern aside with winning numbers 3, 4, 6, 11, 19, and 38.

This Pattern has now played in 163 drawings, and has appeared in 10.9% of the 1489 Lotto Texas drawings to date. Prior to Wednesday night, we last saw this Pattern on September 20th, 2017.

Making its 53rd appearance was the 4 1 1 Specific Order. This has played in 32.5% of the 163 drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.56% of all 1485 drawing. The 4 1 1 Specific Order was seen alongside the {4-1-1} Pattern in the September 20th drawing.

Four-Number Combination(s)

There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations here. What of Powerball?

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of Saturday night, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance. This time around, the winning numbers were 1, 3, 13, 19, 69, and PB 23.

What did this {3-1-1-1} Pattern produce? Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Pattern has now played 41 times, and has appeared in 19.4% of the 211 Powerball drawings.

With ten appearances, the [3-1-1-1] General Order has played in 24.4% of the 41 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 4.74% of all 211 drawings. When we last saw the [3-1-1-1] General Order, it was during the dog days of summer. More specifically, during the August 12th, 2017 drawing.

Powerball stole the night with big plays. One such play was the debut of the 3 1 0 0 1 1 Specific Order! This has now played in 10% of the ten drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. Additionally, this Specific Order has played in 2.44% of the 41 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.47% of all 211 drawings.

Four-Number Combination(s)

No, there weren’t any repeating Four-Number Combinations! But, there was some repeating Combination action.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Here is where the repeating Combination action took place. There was only one repeating Three-Number Combination: 1, 3, 13.

So much fun being at the top. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Combination made its debut earlier in the year. January 11th, 2017 to be precise.

Will either the {4-1-1} or {3-1-1-1} Patterns make another appearance Saturday night?

A Playback and a Storm of (Repeating) Combinations

True to the spirit of Saturday nights, October 7th was in the throes of parties. Number parties, that is. Lotto Texas saw a three-peat and Powerball? Powerball saw a repeating Four-Number Combination for the first time in seven weeks.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of Tuesday’s drawing, the {3-2-1} Pattern ruled the night. Saturday night’s winning numbers were 2, 12, 28, 31, 32, and 42, bringing the total number of appearances to 775.

{3-2-1} reigns supreme. Source: lotterytrend.com.

This Pattern has played in 52.1% of the 1488 drawings.

The 2 3 1 Specific Order has appeared in 128 drawings, and has played in 16.5% of the 775 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 8.60% of all 1488 drawings. Lately, it appears that this Specific Order is joined at the hip with the {3-2-1} Pattern, as it too was caught in the throes of a three-peat.

Contrary to popular expectations, there were no repeating Four-Number Combinations here. As we hinted at earlier, that happened in Powerball.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

For those of you who’ve been following Lottery Binge, you know the rule. First the general analysis, and then the Combinations. Ahem.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 40th appearance, with winning numbers 10, 49, 61, 63, 65, and PB 7.

Powerball stole all the thunder. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Pattern has played in roughly 19% of the 210 Powerball drawings, and was last seen about a couple of weeks ago. More specifically, in the September 23rd drawing.

Now with 18 appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 45% of the 40 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. And, this General Order has played in 8.57% of all 210 drawings. This General Order is not an encore appearance. To see when this General Order previously played, we need to go back to July 15th, 2017.

Making its fourth appearance, the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order has played in 22.2% of the 18 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 10% of the 40 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.90% of all 210 drawings. And, like the [1-1-3-1] Specific Order, we need to go back to an earlier date to see when the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order previously played. In this case, we last saw the Specific Order in the June 21st, 2017 drawing.

Four-Number Combination(s)

So, for the first time in seven weeks, a repeating Four-Number Combination showed its face in Powerball:

A repeating Four-Number Combination. In Powerball!? Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com

Remember, repeating Four-Number Combinations are not common with Powerball! You know where it is common though? Lotto Texas.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Of course, we can’t talk about a repeating Four-Number Combination without the Three-Number Combinations that were “birthed” from it, can we?

As is the nature of this type of occurrence, these four Combinations also made their debut in the November 16th, 2016 drawing.

Will either the {3-2-1} Pattern or {3-1-1-1} Pattern make an encore in Wednesday’s drawing? Will Powerball throw another zinger and play another repeating Four-Number Combination?

Oh Snap! {3-1-1-1} Did it Again!

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern is normally a quiet, unassuming Pattern. It doesn’t go around establishing streaks like {2-1-1-1-1}. Apparently, the urge to create a Pattern streak was overwhelming, because the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its third consecutive appearance in the October 6th drawing. This Pattern packed a punch. See, the three-peat wasn’t the only big thing of the evening.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 70th appearance with winning numbers 21, 33, 36, 45, 56, and MB 12.

A three-peat? Whodathunkit? Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has played in 16.9% of the 414 Mega Millions drawings.

With 21 appearances, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has now played in 30% of the 70 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 5.07% of all 414 drawings. We can safely say that the [1-3-1-1] General Order’s appearance was an encore. It played alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in this past Tuesday’s drawing.

Now with eight appearances, the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 38.1% of the 21 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 11.4% of the 70 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.93% of all 414 drawings. Unlike the [1-3-1-1] General Order, this Specific Order did not make an encore. The last time we saw the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order was in the May 12th, 2017 drawing.

Similar Spread

The Mega Millions analyst informed me that there was a similar spread. The spread of the evening was 12:03:09:11. If we look at the April 17th, 2015 drawing, the winning numbers were 15, 18, 29, 41, 50, and MB 5, and the spread was 03:11:12:09. As is the case with similar spreads, the spreads may be the same, but the numbers played and the orders in which the spreads occur are different. This information will be passed on to our webmaster, and the Mega Millions site will be updated accordingly.

Three-Number Combination(s)

To add onto the momentum, there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 33, 36, 45 (Debuted May 3rd, 2016)
  • 21, 56, MB 12 (Debuted October 17th, 2014)

Are Pattern streaks the new face of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, or will it disappear in Tuesday’s drawing?

Another Helping of {3-1-1-1}

Right off the heels of Friday night’s drawing, Mega Millions started October with a {3-1-1-1} encore. The October 3rd drawing also featured a Specific Order that hadn’t been seen in almost two years. Although we didn’t have a repeating Combination bonanza, there was a repeating Three-Number Combination or two.

With winning numbers 12, 18, 19, 25, 67, and MB 7, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 69th appearance.

Starting October where September left off. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have now been 413 drawings, this Pattern has now played in 16.7% of the 413 Mega Millions drawings.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 20th appearance, and has now played in roughly 29% of the 69 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 4.84% of all 413 drawings. We last saw the [1-3-1-1] General Order in the August 18th, 2017 drawing.

Now with three appearances, the 1 3 0 0 1 1 Specific Order has played in 15% of the 20 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 4.35% of the 69 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.73% of all 413 drawings. Now, the 1 3 0 0 1 1 Specific Order is a special one indeed. It previously played in the December 18th, 2015 drawing. Talk about an early Christmas gift!

As for the repeating Three-Number Combinations of the evening, they were as follows:

  • 12, 18, 25 (Debuted February 25th, 2014)
  • 12, 25, MB 7 (Debuted January 13th, 2015)

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern go for the three-peat in Friday night’s drawing?

End-of-Month Repeating Combination Blowout

Mega Millions was never one to pass up big plays. Instead of playing an extremely rare Pattern, or even a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore, another route was taken. For those of you who get a kick out of repeating Three-Number Combinations, September 29th was your night! Friday saw a whopping six, count ‘em six repeating Three-Number Combinations. What triggered such a large number? We’ll get to that in a minute, but first, this general Mega Millions analysis.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 68th appearance, with winning numbers 25, 51, 62, 73, 74, and MB 7.

Six numbers have a lot of power. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

This Pattern has now played in 16.5% of the 412 drawings and was last seen earlier in the month. More specifically, in the September 8th drawing.

Now with 26 appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 38.2% of the 68 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.31% of all 412 drawings. Prior to Friday night, this General Order played in the August 22nd, 2017 drawing.

Making its third-ever appearance was the 0 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order. This has now played in 11.5% of the 26 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, and in 4.41% of the 68 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 0.73% of all 412 drawings, and previously played on June 13th, 2017.

And now for the repeating Combinations bonanza. Part of what made this night so full of repeating Combinations was that there was a repeating Four-Number Combination. Repeating Four-Number Combinations are no stranger to Lotto Texas, but in Mega Millions, they don’t come by very often. This Combination was 25, 62, 74, and MB 7.

Of course, with a repeating Four-Number Combination, there are four repeating Three-Number Combinations nestled within:

  • 62, 74, MB 7
  • 25, 74, MB 7
  • 25, 62, MB 7
  • 25, 62, 74

These Combinations, and of course, the “mother” Four-Number Combination, made their debut in the December 29th, 2015 drawing.

These weren’t the only Combinations of the evening. In fact, there were two more repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 25, 51, 73 (Debuted September 16th, 2014)
  • 25, 51, MB 7 (Debuted January 13th, 2015)

Will Tuesday’s drawing see a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore, or will the not often seen repeating Four-Number Combination make another appearance?

Falling for Uncommon Patterns and (Repeating) Combinations

Autumn has arrived in Lottery Trend Country. This is a time of cooler temperatures, shortening daytime hours, and of course, pumpkin spice lattes. Before we get far down the rabbit hole of said lattes and autumnal spices, we have the matter of the Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings to cover. September 23rd didn’t see a blowout for either lottery, but there were a couple of interesting plays, especially in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

With winning numbers 8, 10, 14, 17, 28, and 29, the {4-2} Pattern has now played 168 times.

The 0 1 0 3 1 1 Specific Order made its second appearance, and has now played in 15.4% of the 13 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 5.13% of the 39 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.97% of all 206 drawings. This Specific Order hadn’t been seen in nearly eighteen months. In fact, it made its debut in the March 30th, 2016 drawing.

Will either the {4-2} or the {3-1-1-1} Pattern see an encore Wednesday night?

{2-1-1-1-1} Blocker

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern did not, repeat, did not make a fifth consecutive appearance in the September 8th drawing. Instead, we saw a Pattern that, although has played a respectable number of times, hasn’t played nearly as often. This Pattern was also accompanied by two repeating Three-Number Combinations.

The Pattern of the evening was {3-1-1-1}. With winning numbers 4, 5, 14, 26, 73, and MB 14, this Pattern has now played 67 times.

Making its second-ever appearance, the 3 1 0 0 1 1 Specific Order has played in roughly 8.7% of the 23 drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 2.99% of the 67 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.493% of all 406 drawings.
