Rebuilding is not just putting stuff together again. It is also jackpots trying to build themselves back up after big wins and patterns—especially the frequently played ones—trying to rebuild their streak after they’ve been broken. Definitely expect to see a lot of it.  This is Romulun Harris signing off. Take care!

Summer is a time of fun, relaxation, and of course, the longest school holiday ever! But summer, like any other season, is also a time when the Lottery World gets unexpected surprises. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

Kicking Back with a Playback

After a long slog, it’s finally here. Sure, those long, carefree summer breaks of yore are but a memory, but you’ll take any day that lengthens the weekend. That’s right: Memorial Day is here! Even though it’s a three-day weekend, you’re going to wonder “Where’d the time go?!” just like you do every other weekend. There are ways to ignore that unpleasant feeling of weekends that seem to go by too fast, if only for a little bit. Going to the beach is one and enjoying the creature comforts of air conditioning and streaming is another. Mega Millions can make the dread of another work week go away, but it’ll cost you at least a couple of bucks. The keyword here, of course, is can.

Mega Millions had something to say about that Friday night: “Don’t quit your day jobs, folks!”

After dominating the lottery landscape, the {3-2-1} Pattern was set aside. The idea of a {3-2-1} Pattern three-peat in Mega Millions, of all places, was promptly squashed by something just as effective, if not more: a playback! The result was a jackpot that grew to $170 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The May 27, 2022 Mega Millions drawing featured the 216th appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 3, 14, 40, 53, 54 and MB 8.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order, now with 68 appearances, has played in 31.5% of the 216 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 779 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 8.73% of the time.

Now with eight appearances, the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 11.8% of the 68 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This General Order has also played in 3.70% of the 216 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.03% of all 779 drawings.

Prior to Friday night, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, [2-1-2-1] General Order, and the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order were all featured in the April 19, 2022 drawing.

Will Mega Millions say “Sayonara” to May with a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore?

A Pattern Encore Makes for a Sweet Treat

Whether you’re eight or eighty, something cold and sweet is one way to beat the heat. Perhaps sweet tea is your go-to on blistering hot days, or maybe you’re more the snow cone type? Yet the question remains: How do Lotto Texas and Powerball cope with the heat?

These lotteries may not be able to chow down on popsicles or take pleasure in the wonders of Coke, but on May 25, 2022, they had sweet treats of their own to offer! For starters, both lotteries saw their respective jackpots rise to $16.75 million and $150 million. The other treat was the return of a Pattern that doesn’t get much playtime.

Will either the {3-3} or the {2-2-1-1} Pattern return for Saturday night?

In the Heat of the Streak

Heat. Hot as Hades. Those describe summer to a T, but they can also describe May. According to the calendar, it’s still spring, but there’s no denying that the days are getting hotter. Air conditioners are getting a workout, and those who don’t have to wait until Memorial Day weekend before the pool opens are taking full advantage. Lately, it appears that as the thermometer readings go up, things are heating up for Lotto Texas and Powerball as well.

Since the beginning of May, Lotto Texas has been in the grips of a Pattern streak. For four nights in a row, the {3-2-1} Pattern has stuck around and fueled the rise of the Lotto Texas jackpot. On May 14, 2022, this Pattern came back once more and once more, the jackpot rose, settling at $14.5 million when all was said and done. As for Powerball, a streak wasn’t needed to set the jackpot there to $90 million.

The Spread is Strong with These Two

“May the fourth be with you.”

You probably hear this at least once every May 4th. For those out of the loop, May 4th is the unofficial holiday known as Star Wars Day. Sure, this series can be celebrated any day, but if you think about it, May 4th is fitting!

While “Star Wars” fans got their geek on, Lotto Texas and Powerball were engaged in a battle in a galaxy not so far away. May 4, 2022 was a night of similar spreads, a Pattern encore, and rising jackpots. Lotto Texas ascended to $12.5 million, and Powerball propelled itself to $51 million.

Is another jackpot increase in store for Friday night, or will the reset button be pushed yet again?

From Playbacks to A Combination Blowout

Blowout. Now, there’s a term not often associated with Easter. Sure, there’s the egg hunts and the marshmallow Peeps, but compared to Christmas and even Mardi Gras, Easter is the software programmer who mainly keeps to himself. However, the reserved nature of the holiday itself may have no bearing on what happens the night before. This is certainly true of those who pay no mind to human conventions, like lotteries.

Lotto Texas and Powerball certainly paid no mind to the fact that April 16, 2022 was the day before Easter. In fact, Saturday night’s results were a blowout compared to what we saw earlier this week! Another playback in Lotto Texas propelled the jackpot to $9.5 million. Although Powerball didn’t see a playback, the use of a repeating Four-Number Combination, to devastating effect, sent the jackpot soaring to $348 million.
