Naughty or Nice? Lotto Texas and Powerball’s (pre) Christmas Hijinks

The temperatures are plummeting, and the wind is howling. Truly, winter is here! For us Northern Hemisphere folks, anyway. As people whip on their heavy coats and brave the elements to do last-minute shopping, many will certainly stop for hot cocoa or a bowl of soup piping hot. Others, too, will make a stop at their nearest lottery dispensary, buying tickets and hoping for a hefty Christmas gift. The catch is whether the lottery, or lotteries, on Wednesday night, will be naughty or nice.

With four days until Christmas, Lotto Texas and Powerball took it upon themselves to get into more mischief. The rising jackpot streak continued thanks to a playback and an encore. The ever-graceful Lotto Texas boosted the jackpot to $24 million, and Powerball’s jackpot grew to $186 million.

Can you believe that 2022 is almost over? Seems like yesterday that the year had started, and now, we’re in the throes of another Christmas season!
