Well, folks, they finally happened, and yes, we meant “they”! Mega Millions kicked off the weekend with another round of “combinationing”. While out and about, this lottery featured a playback that wasn’t produced by an Australia Play and had its jackpot brought down by not one but two players! After that wild night, the prize was reset to $20 million.

General Lottery Analysis

October 14, 2022 was wild thanks to the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. With winning numbers 9, 22, 26, 41, 44 and MB 19, this Pattern made its 347^th appearance.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has now played in 42.4% of the 819 Mega Millions drawings.

The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order, now with 80 appearances, has played in 23.1% of the 347 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 819 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has now played 9.77% of the time.

Now with 14 appearances, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 17.5% of the 80 drawings where the General Order was [1-2-1-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 4.03% of the 347 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.71% of all 819 drawings.

On Mega Millions’ Friday night “combinationing” adventure, a repeating Four-Number Combination came on board! That Combination, 9, 22, 41 and MB 19, debuted June 8, 2021.

Three-Number Combinations

Naturally, that repeating Four-Number Combination had four repeating Three-Number Combinations bundled inside. Naturally those Combinations debuted in the same June 8^th drawing:

• 9, 22, 41
• 9, 22, MB 19
• 22, 41, MB 19
• 9, 41, MB 19

Those weren’t the only repeating Three-Number Combinations. Repeating Three-Number Combination 22, 26 and 44 debuted June 16, 2017.

With the jackpot having been brought back down to earth, things will be cooling down in Mega Millions for a bit. How much this lottery will cool down in the week ahead is anyone’s guess. There doesn’t need to be a massive jackpot for a lottery to cause a ruckus!
