Rising Jackpots and an Uncommon Mega Millions Pattern

One thing that can be said about this summer is that there has yet to be a long-lasting Pattern streak. Last summer and the summer before, this was in Mega Millions’ bag of goodies. This summer, another goody has been added to the arsenal: a rising jackpot. With no grand prize winner after the July 6th drawing, the jackpot is now $306 million. There was also a Pattern that, although common in Lotto Texas, isn’t so for Mega Millions.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its fifteenth appearance with winning numbers 2, 10, 46, 50, 56, and MB 16.

Of the 373 Mega Millions drawings to date, this Pattern has played 4.02% of the time. Prior to Friday night, the {3-2-1} Pattern played on November 14, 2017.

With it seventh appearance, the [2-3-1] General Order has now played in 46.7% of the 15 drawings where {3-21} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 373 drawings, this General Order has played 1.88% of the time. The ]2-3-1] General Order accompanied the {3-2-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned November 14th drawing.

Now with two appearances, the 2 0 0 3 0 1 Specific Order has played in 28.6% of the seven drawings where the General Order was [2-3-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 13.3% of the 15 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.54% of all 373 drawings. The 2 0 0 3 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the January 6, 2017 drawing. This was reconfigured from the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order seen that night. The winning numbers then were 6, 10, 44, 47, 54, and MB 6. Also note that the drawing for that night was under the old system (“regular balls” = 1-75; “Mega balls” = MB 1 through MB 15).

Three Number Combination(s)

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations this time around.

Will the {3-2-1} Pattern make an encore in Tuesday’s drawing?
