The Middling {3-1-1-1}

What better way to start a new season (summer or winter, depending on where you are) than with the “middle child” of Mega Millions Patterns? The {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared far more often than many Patterns. Yet, it’ll be a long time before it ever dreams of catching up with either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {2-2-1-1} Patterns.  This “middle child” had a lot going for it in the June 22, 2018 drawing. One of its feats was pushing the Mega Millions jackpot to $212 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The 70th appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 2, 6, 11, 27, 44, and MB 20.

Given that there have been 369 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played roughly 19% of the time. Prior to Friday night, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern played on May 22, 2018.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its 35th appearance and has now played in 35.7% of the 70 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 6.78% of all 369 drawings. When it comes to being joined at the hip, the [3-1-1-1] General Order would know about it! This played alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 22nd drawing.

Another surprise was the debut of the 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in 4% of the 25 drawings where [3-1-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 1.43% of the 70 drawings where the winning Pattern was {3-1-1-1} and in 0.27% of all 369 drawings.

Three Number Combination(s)

Finally, there was a repeating Three-Number Combination nestled inside:
