A Sizzling Pattern Encore

Summer has been in gear for a few days, and already two noteworthy events took place in Lottery World June 23rd. One was that the jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball climbed to $7.75 million and $50 million, respectively. The other was a Pattern encore.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of the June 20th drawing, the {3-2-1} Pattern made an encore appearance! Its 815th appearance was thanks to winning numbers 3, 5, 8, 19, 24, and 54.

Could the {3-2-1} Pattern establish a streak in Wednesday’s drawing? Could {3-1-1-1} make an encore in Powerball?

The Middling {3-1-1-1}

What better way to start a new season (summer or winter, depending on where you are) than with the “middle child” of Mega Millions Patterns? The {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared far more often than many Patterns. Yet, it’ll be a long time before it ever dreams of catching up with either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {2-2-1-1} Patterns.  This “middle child” had a lot going for it in the June 22nd drawing. One of its feats was pushing the Mega Millions jackpot to $212 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Given that there have been 369 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played roughly 19% of the time. Prior to Friday night, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern played on May 22nd, 2018.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its 35th appearance and has now played in 35.7% of the 70 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 6.78% of all 369 drawings. When it comes to being joined at the hip, the [3-1-1-1] General Order would know about it! This played alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 22nd drawing.

Another surprise was the debut of the 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in 4% of the 25 drawings where [3-1-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 1.43% of the 70 drawings where the winning Pattern was {3-1-1-1} and in 0.27% of all 369 drawings.

The Patterns Take It Up a Notch

June 20th was an important date, to be sure! One, it was the last official day of spring, or autumn for those of you reading from the Southern Hemisphere. Lotto Texas said “Hello” to the new season with an increase in the jackpot, now at $7.5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball had its $151 million jackpot won by a single ticket sold in Oregon.  Despite their separate paths, both lotteries saw some common Patterns.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 4, 14, 23, 27, 56, and PB 13, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 83rd appearance. Although one of the most common Patterns in Powerball, it’s not the most common.

83 appearances is nothing to sneeze at. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 283 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 29.3% of the time. The {2-2-1-1} Pattern previously played on June 9th, 2018.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 32nd appearance and has now played in 38.6% of the 83 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. Revenge of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern

Another Mega Millions drawing, another rise in the jackpot. After the June 19th drawing, the prize is now $192 million! Like we saw in the June 15th analysis, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern didn’t stay down for long. In today’s analysis, we saw that this Pattern made an encore. But, as we’ve seen in the past, there was more under the hood than “just” the encore.

General Lottery Analysis

The winning numbers for June 19th were 11, 13, 28, 65, 70, and MB 14, bringing the number of appearances of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern to 106.

Given that there have been 368 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played 28.8% of the time.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order made its 35th appearance and has now played in 33% of the 106 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.51% of all 368 drawings. In our analysis, it was discovered that the [2-1-2-1] General Order played alongside the {2-2-1-1} Pattern in this past Friday’s drawing.

Now with three appearances, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order has played in 8.57% of the 35 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 2.83% of the 106 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Finally, when looking at all 368 drawings, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order has played 0.82% of the time. We last saw this Specific Order in the July 25th, 2017 drawing. This was reconfigured from the 2 1 0 2 0 1 Specific Order seen that night. The winning numbers from that drawing were 2, 5, 26, 58, 60, and MB 6.

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern go on to a three-peat Friday? Could the jackpot crack the $200 million barrier?

Mid-Month Breather with a Side of Uncommon Patterns

Lotto Texas and Powerball followed Mega Millions’s lead on June 16th. They took a break. This break, along with rising jackpots ($7.25 million for Lotto Texas and $151 million in Powerball), is like watching an engaging drama. The real start of summer is June 20th (or 21st), and all the biggest plays don’t—can’t—happen just yet. Give too much away, and people will tune out. Suspense must also be built, and at the same time, there should be breather periods where the audience can catch their breath.

Will either of these uncommon Patterns make an encore in Wednesday’s drawing?

The Unassuming {2-2-1-1} Pattern

The Mega Millions gods decided it was time for a breather. After a first half of the month filled with Pattern encores and uncommon Patterns, June 15th was markedly different. There was one consistency though. The jackpot has risen once again, and now stands at $175 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Given that there have been 367 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played 28.6% of the time. Prior to Friday night, this Pattern was last seen on June 8th, 2018. Interestingly, had the {2-2-1-1} Pattern also played this past Tuesday, we could have been looking at a “four-peat”.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order, with its 34th appearance, has now played in 32.4% of the 105 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.26% of all 367 drawings and was last seen on May 29th, 2018.

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern try again in establishing a Pattern streak next week?

Fanfare for the Common Pattern

After an encounter with an uncommon Pattern this past Saturday, June 13th saw Lotto Texas veer back onto a more “normal” path. Powerball, on the other hand, saw any hopes for a “three-peat” be dashed.

One thing that appeared “meant to be” after Wednesday night was the build-up for a potential blowout. With no grand prize winners for either lottery, the jackpots are now $7 million for Lotto Texas, and $137 million for Powerball. Another was the appearance of each lottery’s most commonly seen Pattern.

Given that there have been 1559 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 52.1% of the time. This Pattern was last seen on June 6th, 2018. Interestingly, that appearance was part of a {3-2-1} Pattern streak that carried over from the end of May.

Like the {3-2-1} Pattern, the 3 2 1 Specific Order had also previously played in the earlier-mentioned June 6th drawing. Now with 146 appearances, this Specific Order has played in 18% of the 813 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. This Specific Order has also played in 9.36% of all 1559 drawings.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Out of the 281 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 34.9% of them, and was last seen on June 2nd, 2018.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order made its 28th appearance Wednesday night. With that said, this General Order has played in 28.6% of the 98 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.96% of all 281 drawings. We last saw the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order on May 26th, 2018.

Now with six appearances, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 21.4% of the 28 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-1-2-1]. This Specific Order had played alongside the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order in the earlier-mentioned May 26th drawing. Continuing with the analysis, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has also now played in 6.12% of the 98 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.14% of all 281 drawings.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Playing an even more common Pattern than {2-2-1-1} was enough excitement for Powerball. There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations this time.

Will either the {3-2-1} Pattern or the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern see a repeat in Saturday’s drawing?

The 4-1-1 on the {4-1-1} Pattern

Any hopes for a {2-2-1-1} Pattern streak were dashed in the June 12th drawing. Additionally, there was no jackpot winner, and the prize now stands at $161 million. Nonetheless, Mega Millions saw a shake up, and Lottery Binge has the 4-1-1 on Tuesday’s drawing. For starters, there were a couple of 4-1-1’s.

General Lottery Analysis

The first 4-1-1, of course, was the {4-1-1} Pattern. Its tenth appearance was thanks to winning numbers 1, 3, 5, 8, 70 and MB 3.

As of the 366th Mega Millions drawing, this Pattern has played 2.73% of the time. The {4-1-1} Pattern was last seen on May 4th, 2018.

The second 4-1-1 was the [4-1-1] General Order. With its sixth appearance, this General Order has now played in 60% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 366 drawings, this General Order has played 1.64% of the time. Fun fact: The [4-1-1] General Order played alongside the {4-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 4th drawing.

Tuesday’s drawing saw the debut of the 4 0 0 0 1 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in roughly 16.7% of the six drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also now played in 10% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.27% of all 366 drawings.

Will there be another shakeup in Friday’s drawing? Could the {4-1-1} Pattern be daring enough to make an encore?

Underneath the Uncommon Pattern and Encore

With no one getting all six numbers correct in either Lotto Texas or Powerball, the jackpots have now gone up to $6.75 million and $121 million, respectively. What with a Pattern streak in Lotto Texas shattered, then that means the night was uneventful, right? Not at all! In contrast to the more obvious shows of grandiosity as of late, the excitement was subtler June 9th.

Of the 1558 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.9% of the time. We last saw this Pattern on January 27th, 2018.

Now with 35 appearances, the 4 2 0 Specific Order has played in 20.6% of the 170 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern and in 2.25% of all 1558 drawings. Amazingly, this Specific Order played alongside the {4-2} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned January 27th drawing!

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Fresh from its appearance this past Wednesday, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern went on to make an encore. Its 82nd appearance was thanks to winning numbers were 6, 10, 15, 25, 36, and PB 14.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 31st appearance and has now played in 37.8% of the 82 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 11.1% of all 280 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, this General Order played on May 2nd, 2018.

Now with five appearances, the 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 16.1% of the 31 drawings where [2-2-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 6.10% of the 82 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.79% of all 280 drawings. This Specific Order was last seen on November 18th, 2017.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There may have been a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore, but that didn’t lead to another night of repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will other not-so-common Patterns make an appearance this week? Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern go on to make a “three-peat”?

The Oddities of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern

In the last Mega Millions post, the question was whether the {2-2-1-1} Pattern would make an encore, or if something unexpected would happen.

The results of the June 8th lottery analysis pointed to…both.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern not only made an encore, there were a few other surprises. That, combined with a jackpot now at $144 million, has turned up the heat in Mega Millions.

General Lottery Analysis

The 104th appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 14, 30, 33, 44, 56, and MB 13.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore wasn’t alone. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have been 365 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played 28.5% of the time. Remember, it was just this past Tuesday when this Pattern last appeared.

The encore appearance of the [1-2-2-1] General Order brought its total number of appearances up to 36. This General Order has now played in 34.6% of the 104 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 365 drawings, this General Order has played 9.86% of the time.

Despite the Pattern and General Order encores, this did not hold true for the Specific Order. Now with three appearances, the 1 0 2 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 8.33% of the 36 drawings where [1-2-2-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 2.88% of the 104 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.82% of all 365 drawings. Prior to Friday night, this Specific Order was seen on December 2nd, 2016. This was a little over 18 months ago.

A span of a year-and-a-half between Specific Order play dates is interesting, but it pales in comparison to what else took place Friday night.

Four-Number Combination
