Powerball Gets It Too!

Hello, Lottery fans! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris reporting on your latest LotteryTrend events! As the holiday of green and gold gets nearer, the event that happened with Megamillions on March 7, 2017 happened with Powerball: an Australian play! Now for the report.

Lotto Texas

Last night on March 11, 2017, the winning numbers for Lotto Texas were 5, 6, 24, 28, 29, and 37.

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its 741st appearance and has played in 51.89% of all 1428 drawings. It last played on March 1, 2017.

The 2 3 1 Specific Order made its 123rd appearance and has played in approximately 16.6% of all 741 drawings associated with the {3-2-1} Pattern and in 8.61% of all drawings. The 2 3 1 Specific Order last played on December 21, 2016.

The Four-Number Combination that repeated comprised the numbers 5, 6, 28, and 37, which last played on July 15, 2015.

Powerball

And now, for the main event! Last night on March 11, 2017, the winning numbers for Powerball were 1, 26, 41, 50, 57, AND PB 11.

As mentioned earlier, Powerball experienced an Australian play.  The {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order all made their 16th occurrence. Plus, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order have appeared in approximately 10.67% of all 150 drawings. February 8th, 2017 was the last time they played.

There were no repeats in Three Number Combinations.

Well, looks like surprising things are happening with St. Patrick’s Day around the corner. What surprise awaits us next? Find out next week!

Friday’s Four-Leaf Clovers

St. Patrick’s Day is only a week away, and we saw a couple of four-leaf clovers sprout on March 10th. One of these was a repeat appearance of a Three-Number Combination. What was the other? Keep reading and find out!

Rather than a rare Pattern, Friday’s drawing marked the 143rd appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which is the most played. The winning numbers were 26, 38, 42, 58, 70, and MB 5.

Winning Mega Millions numbers

This Pattern has now played in 40.4% of the 354 Mega Millions drawings to date, and was last seen exactly one week prior in the March 3, 2017 drawing.

With its 42nd appearance, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has now played in 29.4% of the 143 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} has appeared, as well as in 11.8% of all drawings. Prior to Friday, this General Order was last seen in the February 28, 2017 drawing.

The 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order made its sixth appearance and has now played in approximately 14.3% of the 42 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 4.20% of the 143 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.69% of the 354 Mega Millions drawings. Remember how we mentioned earlier that there were two four-leaf clovers that sprouted? The other four-leaf clover was the date in which this Specific Order previously played. Like the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order, we last saw the 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order in the February 28th drawing.

Our Mega Millions coverage concludes with the repeat appearance of the Three-Number Combination 38, 70, and MB 5.

Three-Number Combinations. The repeating Combo is in the red box.

This Combination made its debut in the March 22, 2016 drawing nearly one year ago.

Looking ahead to next week, will there be more repeating Three-Number Combinations? Will a Specific Order make its debut?

Simmerin’ Down with a Similar Spread

Wednesday’s drawing didn’t grant us repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas or repeating Three-Number Combinations in Powerball. For those of you who had hoped for a Pattern encore or an Australia Play, we’re sorry to say that didn’t happen either. Now, what did happen on the night of March 8, 2017 was a visit from the rare specimen known as the similar spread.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 15, 19, 24, 33, 34, and 47, marking the 156th appearance of the {4-1-1} Pattern.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers

This Pattern has now played in 10.9% of the 1427 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen on October 15, 2016.

The 1 4 1 Specific Order made its 55th appearance, and has now played in 35.3% of the 156 drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.85% of all drawings. Prior to Wednesday, this Specific Order previously played on June 18, 2016.

And now, it has come time to discuss the similar spread. The spread for Wednesday’s drawing was 04:05:09:01:13. It was a little over one year ago, in the March 5, 2016 drawing, that there was a similar spread of 04:01:13:09:05. The winning numbers on that night were 5, 9, 10, 23, 32, and 37. As you can see, the differences between the numbers in these separate drawings were the same, but the order was different.

 Powerball

Although Powerball didn’t have a similar spread, it was graced with the presence of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Its 52nd appearance was marked by winning numbers 23, 33, 42, 46, 59, and PB 4.

Winning Powerball numbers

This Pattern has appeared in 34.9% of the 149 Powerball drawings, and remained the most commonly seen Pattern. We last saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern at the beginning of the month.

Making its 13th appearance, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has now played in 25% of the 52 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 8.72% of all Powerball drawings. Prior to Wednesday, this General Order was last seen in the January 18, 2017 drawing.

Our Powerball coverage concludes with the third appearance of the 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has played in approximately 3.08% of the 13 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, as well as 5.77% of the 52 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 2.01% of all 149 drawings. The 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order previously played on December 21, 2016.

Daylight Savings is coming for us here in Lottery Trend country. As we look to spring forward soon, will Lotto Texas and Powerball have Pattern encores? Will the ever-elusive exact spread make an appearance?

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

March is kicking it into high gear. The seasons are a-changing and St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching. To commemorate the occasion, the March 7, 2017 drawing gifted us with an Australia Play! There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations, so this post is going to be a short one.

Tuesday’s winning numbers were 3, 30, 45, 53, 68, and MB 11.

Winning Mega Millions numbers.

With this Australia Play, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, and the [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order made their thirteenth appearance! Given that there have been 353 drawings, this Australia Play has played in 3.68% of all Mega Millions drawings. What makes this one a doozy is that it was last seen in last year’s April 19th drawing.

Things appear to have quieted down just a wee bit, but the month is still young. Is this a lull before the green tide? Will Friday’s drawing see not only another rare Pattern, but a volley of repeating Three-Number Combinations?

A Flicker of February

The March 4, 2017 drawing didn’t bring us a four-peat of Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, nor did we see three repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas. Instead, both lotteries saw Patterns that were last seen in February. While appearing to be no big deal, there was much more bubbling underneath the surface.  Two Four-Number Combinations repeated in Lotto Texas, and these Combinations made their debut almost fifteen years ago! Toss in the debut of a new Specific Order in Powerball and there was no end in sight to the March momentum.

Lotto Texas

Saturday night’s winning numbers were 2, 4, 5, 17, 48, and 50, marking the 161st appearance of the {4-2} Pattern.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 11.3% of the 1426 Lotto Texas drawings to date, and was last seen in the February 11, 2017 drawing.

Now with 24 appearances, the 4 0 2 Specific Order has played in 14.9% of the 161 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.68% of all drawings. Prior to Saturday, this Specific Order played in the January 14, 2017 drawing.

The biggest draw in Lotto Texas was the repeat appearances of these Four-Number Combinations:

  • 2, 14, 17, 50 (Debuted June 5, 2002)
  • 4, 5, 17, 50 (Debuted April 5, 2002)
Repeating Four-Number Combinations are in red boxes.

Will another fifteen years pass before these Combinations make another repeat appearance?

Powerball

Instead of a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern four-peat, we saw the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 2, 18, 19, 22, 63, and PB 19.

Winning Powerball numbers.

With 28 appearances to date, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 18.9% of the 148 Powerball drawings. This Pattern previously played in the February 15, 2017 drawing.

With its 10th appearance, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has now played in 35.7% of the 28 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.76% of all drawings. We last saw the [1-3-1-1] General Order in the December 7, 2016 drawing.

Our Powerball coverage concludes with the debut of the 1 3 0 0 1 1 Specific Order. As of Saturday’s drawing, this Specific Order has played in 10% of the drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared, 3.57% of the 28 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in approximately 0.68% of all drawings.

As we march into the second week of the month, will other Specific Orders make their debut? Will another Pattern streak try to form?

Go “Fourth” and Prosper

At the end of our last Mega Millions post, we wondered whether the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern would go in for the four-peat. The March 3, 2017 drawing did not disappoint! Only once before have we here at Lottery Binge seen Mega Millions’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern appear four times in a row.

Friday’s winning numbers were 14, 26, 39, 48, 51, and MB 9, bringing the total number of appearances of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern to 142.

The winning Mega Millions numbers for 3/3/2017.

This Pattern has now played in 40.3% of the 352 Mega Millions drawings to date. We last saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in the Mardi Gras drawing.

Now with 32 appearances, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played in 22.5% of the 142 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.09% of all drawings. This General Order previously played in the January 24, 2017 drawing.

Making its seventh appearance, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has now played in 21.9% of the 32 drawings where the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 4.93% of the 142 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in approximately 2% of all drawings. It’s been a while since the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order played. Prior to Friday’s drawing, it was last seen in the September 15, 2015 drawing.

Mega Millions kept the momentum going with repeating Three-Number Combination 14, 48, and MB 9, and it made its debut in the July 8, 2014 drawing.

In this snippet of Four-Number Combinations, the repeating Combination is in the red box.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern make a fifth consecutive appearance in Tuesday’s drawing?

March Comes Roaring In

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, or so it’s said. The March 1st drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball lived up to that saying. They came roaring in with repeating Four-Number and Three-Number Combinations, respectively, and both lotteries saw their most commonly played Patterns. Powerball’s most commonly seen Pattern got an extra boost with a three-peat appearance.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 3, 24, 33, 34, 45, and 51. With 740 appearances, the {3-2-1} Pattern remained second-to-none.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers. These followed the {3-2-1} Pattern.

Given that there have been 1425 Lotto Texas drawings to date, this Pattern has now played in approximately 51.9% of all drawings. Prior to Wednesday, we last saw the {3-2-1} Pattern in the February 18, 2017 drawing a few weeks back.

The 1 3 2 Specific Order made its 109th appearance, and has now played in 14.7% of the 740 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 7.65% of all drawings. Interestingly, the 1 3 2 Specific Order previously played exactly one month prior in the February 1, 2017 drawing.

Lotto Texas solidified its strong start to March with repeat appearances of the following Four-Number Combinations:

  • 24, 34, 45, 51 (Debuted October 15, 2011)
  • 33, 34, 45, 51 (Debuted April 10, 2013)
  • 24, 33, 34, 51 (Debuted September 17, 2016)
The Combinations in red boxes repeated.

Powerball

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern continues to reign supreme after its three-peat appearance. This time around, the winning numbers were 10, 16, 40, 52, 55, and PB 17.

Winning Powerball numbers. These followed the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern.

Now with 51 appearances, this Pattern has played in 34.7% of the 147 Powerball drawings to date. Prior to Wednesday, we saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in this past Saturday’s drawing, in addition to the February 22nd drawing one week ago.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order made its 19th appearance, and has now played in 37.3% of the 51 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 12.9% of all drawings. This General Order, like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, was last seen in the February 25, 2017 drawing.

Making its second-ever appearance, the 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has now played in 10.5% of the 19 drawings where the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 3.92% of the 51 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.36% of all drawings. The 1 1 1 2 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the October 22, 2016 drawing.

The repeating Three-Number Combination of the evening was 40, 52, and PB 17.

The Combination 40-52-PB 17 is highlighted in the red box.

We first saw this Combination in the June 22, 2016 drawing.

Will Lotto Texas see three more Four-Number Combinations repeat on Saturday? Will Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} go in for a fourth consecutive appearance?

We Got Ourselves a Three-Peat!

February ended with a one-two-three punch! Mardi Gras was in full swing, and Mega Millions saw the {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat. We also saw not one, not two, but three repeating Three-Number Combinations!

The {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat was thanks to winning numbers 20, 33, 45, 58, 69, and MB 4.

Winning Powerball numbers.

As of the February 28th, 2017 drawing, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared in 141 out of 351 drawings. This Pattern has now played 40.2% of the time and remains the most commonly seen Pattern in Mega Millions. Recall that we last saw this Pattern in this past Friday’s drawing.

The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order made its 41st appearance, and has now played in 29.1% of the 141 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 11.7% of all 351 drawings. Unlike the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order didn’t make an encore. We need to go back to the February 21st drawing to see when this General Order previously appeared. February 21st was also the first appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in this three-peat.

The 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order made its fifth appearance, its first since the October 7th, 2016 drawing. As of Tuesday, this Specific Order has played in 12.1% of the 41 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order appeared, 3.55% of the 141 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} drawing appeared, and in 1.42% of all drawings.

Our Mega Millions coverage concludes with the repeat appearances of the following Three-Number Combinations:

  • 33, 45, MB 4 (Debuted January 21st, 2014)
  • 33, 58, 69 (Debuted July 4th, 2014)
  • 20, 45, MB 4 (Debuted November 10th, 2015)
The repeating Three-Number Combinations are boxed.

Since February ended with a bang, that means March will come roaring in like a lion, right? What better way for that to occur than for a {2-1-1-1-1} four-peat?
