Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday Night Callbacks

June 29th’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings didn’t see Australia Plays or throwbacks to Four-Number (Lotto Texas) or Three-Number (Powerball) Combinations last seen several years ago. What we did see was a callback to Patterns seen just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning Lotto Texas numbers were 3, 7, 22, 40, 44, and 53.

These numbers played in a {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played in the June 22, 2016 drawing! The {3-2-1} Pattern continues to reign supreme as the most commonly seen Lotto Texas pattern. Given last night’s results, {3-2-1-} has now appeared in 707 out of 1355 Lotto Texas drawings, or 52.2%.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to the 2 1 3 Specific Order, which previously played on April 23rd, 2016. Now at 105 appearances, this Specific Order has now played 14.9% of the time the {3-2-1} Pattern has played.

Powerball

The winning numbers for Powerball were 23, 29, 37, 60, 64, and PB 6.

The numbers played in the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, which also appeared in the June 22, 2016 Powerball drawing. After last night’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} has now appeared 26 times out of 77 drawings, or 33.8%.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order made an encore appearance, having also appeared on June 22, 2016. Given the 26 appearances of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, the [1-2-2-1] has now appeared in 10 of them, bringing it up to 38.5%.

Even with a repeat performance from the Pattern and the General Order, we didn’t see this with the Specific Order. The 0 1 2 0 2 1 Specific Order made its first appearance since December 19, 2015. This has now appeared twice out of the 10 times the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared.

What will Lotto Texas and Powerball have in store for us on Saturday? Will we see pre-Fourth of July fireworks?

And {2-1-1-1-1} Comes Out of the Shadows

For those of you who read our blog last week and were hoping for a three-peat of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, we’re here to tell you that it did not make an appearance last night. What we did see was fascinating in its own right.

The winning Mega Millions numbers for June 28th, 2016 were 15, 17, 20, 35, 55, and MB7.

Winning Mega Millions numbers from lotterytrend-megamillions.com

These numbers played in the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which has now played 108 times out of 281, or 38.4%. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern reigns supreme as the most commonly seen Mega Millions Pattern to date, and it did so prior to last night’s drawing. In fact, this Pattern previously played just a little over a month ago on May 27th, 2016.

Given the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the following General Orders are allowed:

[1-1-1-2-1]

[1-1-2-1-1]

[1-2-1-1-1]

[2-1-1-1-1]

The winning numbers followed the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order, which previously appeared on April 22nd, 2016. This General Order has now appeared in 29 of the 108 drawings in which the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played, bringing it up to 26.9%. As of the June 28th drawing, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order is the most commonly seen.

Hmm. Looks like the winning Pattern and the winning General Order we saw last night were the most common of their types. Did this also hold true for the Specific Order?

Looks like the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order made an appearance, its first since April 22nd, 2016. This Specific Order has now appeared in 11 out of the 29 drawings the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared in, or 37.9%. As it turns out, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order is in fact the most commonly seen Specific Order to date in Mega Millions!

The June 28th Mega Millions drawing saw the appearance of the most commonly seen winning Pattern, General Order and Specific Order. What will Friday’s drawing have in store?

Mambos with Combos and the Australia Play Returns to Powerball

While the June 21st drawing may have seemed a bit underwhelming, the week went out with a bang. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw rarely played Combinations and Powerball saw yet another Australia Play.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for June 25th, 2016 for Lotto Texas were 8, 15, 17, 40, 42, and 46.

These numbers played in a {3-3} Pattern, which in fact last played on May 28th, 2016. The {3-3} Pattern has now played 114 times in the 1354 drawings, bringing it up to 8.42%. Given the {3-3} Pattern, the Specific Orders that are possible are

0 3 3

3 0 3

3 3 0

The June 24th Lotto Texas drawing saw the 3 0 3 Specific Order play, and it too previously appeared on May 28th, 2016. With that said, the 3 0 3 Specific Order has now played 38 times out of 114 drawings, or 33% of the time in which the {3-3} Pattern has played.

June 25th saw a Four-Number Combination in the form of 17, 40, 42, and 46.

This Four-Number Combination has appeared not once, but twice before! The first appearance was back on January 22nd, 2003 and the second appearance was back on March 19th, 2008.

Powerball

The winning Powerball numbers for June 24th, 2016 were 3, 27, 36, 56, 69, and PB25.

These numbers played in a {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which in fact played exactly one week ago on June 18th, 2016! This Pattern has now appeared in 8 out of 76 Powerball drawings, bringing it up to 10.52%. Given the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the only possible General Order is [1-1-1-1-1-1] and the Specific Order is 1 1 1 1 1 1. Logically, the General Order and the Specific Order also appeared in the June 18th Powerball drawing. Just like Australia is both a country and a continent, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern is also a Specific Order. For those of you who have just started to check out our fair blog, we like to call such plays Australia Plays.

We also saw a Three-Number Combination in the form of 3, 27, and 69.

This combination played once before on March 5th, 2016.

Looking at the week ahead, will Lotto Texas and Powerball bring more surprises in the form of rarely-seen Combinations? Will Powerball see an Australia Play Saturday three-peat?

{2-2-1-1} Stands Strong, a.k.a. Friday Night Repeats

As we conclude the Mega Millions coverage for the week, we can’t help but mention that the winning Pattern we saw on Tuesday night decided to make an encore. The winning numbers for Friday, June 24, 2016 were 11, 14, 54, 57, 63, and MB11.

For those of you who have just started checking out this blog, and you’re wondering what the heck we just mentioned, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was the winner yet again, having last played June 21, 2016. That’s one way to kick off the summer, or winter if you’re reading this from the Southern Hemisphere! Anyway, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now appeared 90 times out of 280 drawings, bringing it up to 32.14%.

The General Order [2-2-1-1] made its 36th appearance, and given the winning Pattern’s 90 appearances in Mega Millions, the [2-2-1-1] General Order has now played a solid 40%. The April 15, 2016 drawing was the last time this General Order made an appearance in Mega Millions.

We also saw the 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order, bringing its total number of appearances up to 4, and it has now played 11.1% of the time, given the 36 drawings in which [2-2-1-1] has appeared.

Looking ahead to next week, will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern make a three-peat appearance Tuesday?

Yoohoo! {3-2-1} and a {2-2-1-1}

The June 22, 2016 drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t give us any Australia Plays, nor did we see Four-Number Combos that hadn’t played since the day cats and zombies officially took over the Internet. However, both lotteries saw Patterns that played just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the June 22nd drawing were 4, 5, 14, 32, 37, and 49.

From lotterytrend.com

These numbers played in the {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played June 15th. As of now, this Pattern has appeared in 706 of 1353 drawings, or 52%. This truly is King of Patterns.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to a 3 1 2 Specific Order, which prior to last night’s drawing played on March 19, 2016. This Specific Order has now played 126 times out of the 706 drawings the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, bringing it up to 17.8%. While a commonly seen Specific Order for this particular Pattern, it is not the most common.

Powerball

The June 22nd drawing gave us these winning numbers: 14, 40, 42, 43, 52, PB17.

From lotterytrend-powerball.com
From lotterytrend-powerball.com

Here we see the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and it too made an appearance in the June 15th drawing. The tally for this Pattern is now 25 times out of 75 drawings, or 33%. The General Order [1-2-2-1] has now played 9 times out of the 25 times the {2-2-1-1} has appeared, or 36% of the time. In fact, this General Order was also seen in the June 15, 2016 drawing. The [1-2-2-1] General Order saw a newly played Specific Order in the form of 1 0 2 2 0 1.

Will the {3-2-1} and the {2-2-1-1} Patterns for Lotto Texas and Powerball, respectively, show up again in Saturday’s drawings, or will other Patterns make an appearance? Will we see an Australia Play or a Four-Number Combo that had previously played in the ancient days of dial-up?

So It Goes 2-2-1-1

Patterns are a wonderful thing; they always turn up when you least expect them. In fact, the most recently played Pattern decided to show up just two weeks after it last played.

The winning numbers from the June 21 2016 Mega Millions drawing are 6, 13, 21, 49, 50, and MB10.

Prior to the June 21st drawing, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played on June 7, 2016. As of last night, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played 89 times out of 279. This puts it at 31.9%, and is a commonly seen Mega Millions Pattern.

The General Order was a [2-1-2-1] and it made a previous appearance on April 12, 2016. The [2-1-2-1] General Order has now played 32 times out of the 89, or 36% of the time the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. If we were to take this General Order in relation to all 279 drawings, then this has played 32 times out of 279, or 11.5%.

We saw a 2 1 0 2 0 1 Specific Order, which prior to June 21st last appeared December 1, 2015. Talk about an early Christmas gift!

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern stick around for Friday, or will it go away and not show up for yet another two weeks?

Lotto Texas {4-1-1} Encore and Powerball’s Australia Play

As we’ve said before, everything repeats given enough time, and repetition is truly a lottery’s best friend. For Lotto Texas, it took two weeks for a Pattern and a Specific Order to make an encore appearance. Not only that, it saw the appearance of another Four-Number Combination. Even Powerball saw something interesting in the Pattern that played. We’ll get to that a bit later.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for Saturday, June 18th 2016 were 2, 19, 25, 28, 30, and 51.

These numbers played in a {4-1-1} Pattern which, as we hinted at in the introduction, played just two weeks ago on June 4th, 2016. The {4-1-1} Pattern has now played 151 times out of 1352 drawings, putting it at 11.17%. This Pattern gave us the 1 4 1 Specific Order, which also played on June 4th, 2016. Of the 151 times the {4-1-1-} Pattern has played, the 1 4 1 Specific Order has now played 54 times, or 35.76%. To date, this is the most commonly played Specific Order for the {4-1-1} Pattern.

For those of you keeping an eye out for Four-Number Combos, we saw one play last night in the form of 2, 19, 28, and 51, as seen in the red box below.

LottoTx_FourNumb20160619

Prior to the June 18th 2016 drawing, this Four-Number Combo last played July 20th 2011. This was the year that social media really took off. Hard to believe that it was just a near five years ago, isn’t it?

Powerball

Powerball saw an “Australia Play”. That is to say, we saw the winning Pattern and the winning Specific Order be the same, much like Australia is a country and a continent. We saw one of these in the June 11th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing.

The winning numbers for Powerball were 2, 23, 41, 53, 63, and PB11.

Powerball_20160619

These numbers were in a {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which has now played in 7 out of 74 drawings, or 9.46%. As such, the only General Order allowed is [1-1-1-1-1-1] and the only Specific Order allowed is 1 1 1 1 1 1.

Prior to the June 18th drawing, this Australia Play was last seen on April 20th, 2016.

Will we see more Four-Number Combos in Lotto Texas or will the rarely seen Five-Number Combo make a debut? Will Powerball go back to what it knows and play a more commonly seen winning Pattern?

Same Script, New Cast, a.k.a. {3-1-1-1} Got It Goin’ ON!

If the title of today’s MegaMillions post isn’t a clue, then let’s just say that the Pattern and the General Order decided to make an encore. But (there’s always a but), the Specific Order is different. We’ll talk about that some more a bit later.

The winning MegaMillions numbers for Friday, June 17th, were 20, 23, 30, 44, 59, and MB9.

Winning numbers from lotterytrend-megamillions.com
Winning numbers from lotterytrend-megamillions.com

These played in a {3-1-1-1} Pattern; in fact, this particular Pattern just played this past Tuesday (link). So far, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 46 of the 278 drawings to date, putting it at 16.5%. The [3-1-1-1] General Order also played this past Tuesday. Thanks to this little encore, the [3-1-1-1] General Order has now played 15 times out of the 46 times the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played. That puts this particular General Order at approximately 32.61%.

Last night saw the appearance of a different Specific Order in the form of 0 3 1 1 0 1. Of course, it’s only played once out of the 15 times the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, so its percentage isn’t going to be all that high (6.67%).

Will we see a three-peat with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern and the [3-1-1-1] General Order, or will it broken? Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern be the sole “three-peater”  or will it be broken?

{3-2-1} and {2-2-1-1} Are Back for an Encore

Compared to last week’s sensational finale (see June 12th post), the results of Lotto Texas and Powerball may seem tame. No Four-Number Combos or throwbacks to speak of for Lotto Texas, for one. Truth is, a Lotto Texas Pattern and a Specific Order made an encore, as did the Powerball Pattern.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers from June 15th Lotto Texas drawing were 5, 16, 23, 24, 35, and 52.

From our Lotto Texas site lotterytrend.com
From our Lotto Texas site lotterytrend.com

The {3-2-1} Pattern, as we’ve mentioned before, is the most commonly played Pattern to date. As of yesterday’s drawing, it has played 705 times out of 1351 drawings, or 52.18% of the time. In fact, this Pattern played exactly one week prior to last night’s drawing, that is, June 8th, 2016 (see here). Given the {3-2-1} Pattern, we saw a Specific Order of 2 3 1, which has now played 116 times out of the 705 drawings in which the {3-2-1} Pattern has occurred. This Specific Order also appeared on June 8, 2016.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers were 4, 22, 24, 31, 33, and PB10.

lotterytrend-powerball.com

These numbers played in a {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and this particular Pattern has now played 24 out of 73 times, or 32.9%. This commonly played Pattern (to date) played last Saturday (see June 12th post).

Last night saw the appearance of the [1-2-2-1] General Order, which now puts it at 8 times out of 29 drawings the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, or 27.6%. This General Order was last seen on May 28, 2016.

Given the [1-2-2-1] General Order, the Specific Order 1 2 2 0 0 1 has played twice out of the eight times (25%) the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared. The last time 1 2 2 0 0 1 played was February 17, 2016.

Will Lotto Texas see a lull in the appearance of noteworthy Four-Number Combinations or is this the quiet before the storm? Will Powerball start to see a rarely played Pattern, or will {2-2-1-1} play for a third time?

{3-1-1-1} Is Back for More

So, after having left for twelve days, a dear friend has returned. The winning numbers for the June 14th  Mega Millions drawing were as follows: 36, 37, 38, 52, 62, MB6.

Winning numbers from lotterytrend-megamillions.com
Winning numbers from lotterytrend-megamillions.com

Good ol’ {3-1-1-1} played, and this Pattern was last seen June 3rd . With that said, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played 45 out of 277 times to date, putting it at roughly 16.25%.

Before we move on to the General Order and Specific Order that played, let’s talk a bit more about what exactly a General Order and a Specific Order are. The General Order represents how many numbers are chosen from a Group in that order. For example, let’s say you have a [4-1-1] General Order. The first four numbers will come from a single Group. This single Group can be any Group but the last Group (Group 6). The fifth number will be from another Group that follows after the first Group chosen. For example, let’s say you chose the first four numbers from Group 3; the fifth number can come from either Group 4 or Group 5. For MegaMillions, Group 6 will always be reserved for the Mega Ball, and for Powerball, that Group is reserved for the Powerball.

The Specific Order is like the General Order, except you’ll have zeroes. These zeroes represent groups that you are not choosing from. Here are a few things to keep in mind when dealing with General and Specific Orders. Remember that General Order does not apply to Lotto Texas.

  • All Specific Orders follow a General Order
  • Not all General Orders have the same number of Specific Orders. For example, a [5-1] General Order has five Specific Orders, but a [1-4-1] General Order has twice as many (10) Specific Orders.

Our sites go into more detail regarding General and Specific Orders.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.

The General Order that played was a [3-1-1-1]. Check out this post or this post to see which General Orders are allowed for a {3-1-1-1} Pattern. This General Order has appeared 14 times out of the 277 drawings, or 5.05%, and last played on May 20th, 2016. Given those 14 times, the Specific Order 0 0 3 1 1 1 played twice, or 14.3%. This Specific Order last played on April 8, 2014.

Now about our dear friend {3-1-1-1}. Will he stay for the week, or will he leave on Friday?
